  1. Fitted another pair of Ground Control 2.3's, the new ones with the dual compound rubber. Grip is bloody amazing! Definitely an improvement over the old design. Ran the last pair for well over 2 years and they held up incredibly well. Such great value too.
  2. Search this thread. I posted the directions Pyga gave me someway back. Edit: Found it. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/119246-post-your-pyga/page-158#entry2713391
  3. Also had a laugh at the rockshox wiper kit for R499. I just ordered a full rebuild kit on ebay with wipers, seals, orings and washers, for half the price. Now to find an alternative to this sram butter stuff. R150 for 20ml? Must be joking.
  4. There's an Act that was passed in the US defining what may be labelled as craft beer. There's a volume limitation, must have a single brewer for all batches, etc. Obviously not applicable in SA though but interesting nonetheless. BTW very few beers labelled as 'craft' in SA would qualify under those guidelines since the majority of them are contract brewed.
  5. And right after that KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!
  6. It's a second hand bike, with a limited warranty. What exactly is the guy expecting here?
  7. Yeah, and foam pit or nothing to learn.
  8. I'm gonna have to say bad idea. But then I've landed on top of a BMX on a trampoline before (while trying to learn to flip).
  9. Agree fully. At that age I was riding BMX on half pipes and trying to fit on my old man's size 54 road bike. What I would have given for a MTB and a track like Giba!!
  10. You'll enjoy the Naked Mexican if you enjoyed Sol. I think it's brewed by CBC. Very similar taste.
  11. So no different to the guys who do the medicals and bio here in Durban then. I'm pretty glad that process is over for me!
  12. Drop the fork, remove the bearings, wipe everything clean with a rag with meths on. Check for any roughness in the bearings and replace as needed. Regrease and reassemble. I do this pretty frequently on my One10 as the headset and seatpost seem to develop dirt-related creaking very easily.
  13. Anyone in the Cape really should make a plan to get to the Newlands Brewery and try the Passionate Blonde. One of my family members is a renowned beer taster and brewing consultant, and he rates this in his top 3 beers, world wide. http://brewmistress.co.za/sab-microbrewery-newlands-spring/
  14. Try www.batteryexperts.co.za for new batteries. They can also repack with uprated cells.
  15. Probably the most lustable 911 in recent years... https://youtu.be/Jv0Gr5gz1Gw Dunno how to embed videos...Doh!
  16. Did a pretty cool project at home recently. And by 'did' I mean numerous contractors, not me Take one worn out pool area with mysterious pipe leak... Run all new pipes, move the pump and filter... Add one balau deck... And, viola!
  17. Sounds about ballpark for signing off a coal mine purchase and a nuclear contract for some friends...
  18. Yes, well worth it. Can build one quite light too if you try.
  19. Just finished The girl on the train by Paula Hawkins. Gripping read! Really well written. Started Recce by Koos Stadler last night. Pretty decent so far.
  20. Spray the insides with deodorant. Slide them on. Wait a few hours. Go ride.
  21. Any weiss fans really should give &Union's Summer a go. Lovely stuff!
  22. LOL, "contents stolen from a vehicle" won't even get you an SAPS case number here...
  23. Have you read Goldfinder by Keith Jessop? Sounds like you'd really enjoy it.
  24. Castle Lite sponsored event >> promo pic of riders drinking Windhoek Draught
  25. You can make Hope's pretty darn noisy by using less tacky grease in the pawl system. If that's your thing
