  1. Have a bell, it does F-ALL when the runners have earphones in! Same goes for other cyclists
  2. Eish, i may have been ripped off when i bought it then. But thanks anyway
  3. Previously it's been a beefed version of the Force. Now it looks more like a scaled down version of the Fury. I would take the Force or the Sanction (or the Sector for that matter) if I had the cash
  4. Put this together a while back Hope it's of use to somebody wheelsizes.pdf
  5. With the same size tyres, it will raise the BB by 12.5mm. If he puts a smaller tyre on in order to fit then it will be less
  6. Not much point if you use different size tyres, it's not a good comparison Assuming the same tyre (2.0") the diameter of the wheel differs by the following percentages 26"(559) => 27.5"/650B(584) = 3.8% 27.5"/650B(584) =>. 29er/700c (622) = 5.5% 26"(559) => 29er/700c (622) = 9.5%
  7. Don't they already have electricity there? Unfortunately, I don't believe it will be financially viable. Nevermind that it won't fit in with the look/time period of the place.
  8. On my 650B/27.5 wheels, on my 26" wheels I have the CST BFT
  9. 2.4, but it's a generous 2.4
  10. Also have a set of these on the way http://dirtragmag.com/userfiles/crankworxtech1-23.jpg
  11. HAHAHA, damn!!! Got a project coming up where I may or may not need a fork like that (unsure at the moment)
  12. On the front with a Geax Sturdy on the back. Got a brand new spare here
  13. Nice, what you going to do with it?
  14. Give me a shout if you get stuck These work for me http://www.csttires.com/int/wp-content/blogs.dir/4/files/2013/03/MTB_CST_BFT-3Qtr_glam_hp-copy.png http://www.csttires.com/int/bike/mountain-bike-tire/bftc1752/
  15. What fork did you have on there?
  16. Have the WTB Vigilante 2.3 650B on the front and the WTB Beeline 2.2 650B on the back. Good combo of tyres
  17. I have one at home. Not sure what it's worth, but I work in Bellville so will bring it with me tomorrow
  18. It's SOOOOO stealth, he's not telling
  19. I'm sure it's possible, it's just the will to do it
  20. It's a steel frame so you can bend it slightly. The Cotic roadrat frame has a spacing of 132.5mm to enable the use of road or MTB hubs.
  21. Those mini streams could partly have been caused because of the Pine plantations being removed and no longer sucking up that water. Just a thought
  22. Yes, Bennet Nel and his team needs to tackle this. That guy can do wonders
  23. You'll need a Lefty specific hub, Left bearing is 20mm and right bearing is 15mm IIRC
  24. To add with a 19.4% increase of the activity permit from last year what will the price on that be next year? R585? And the following year? R698? It'll get to a point when it won't be worth it especially if no more trails are added
  25. There is no dispute it makes more sense to get an annual permit. But some cannot do that and at R45 per day is high. Especially when it doesn't go into paying for the trails, we do this ourself through blood, sweat and some private funding. You should know that at the end of the month and expense of R430 might be possible, and R45 for a once off is too steep. But being that MTB is more addictive than cocaine some are forced to take the daily cost. Per day the Tygerbergmtb trails are cheaper at R30. And because they are private trails can be justified. AFAIK being a public space I'm already paying a portion of SANPARKS/TMNP through my taxes.
