  1. I guess it depends on how much DH/bulldozing you're going to be doing. I can stick one in the car and next time you're near my office you can check one out
  2. Also contact Bibi for some 26" rubber, I've just got hold of some 650B x 2.4 versions of these. Haven't tried them yet but look and feel the business. Decent weight too https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/97734-new-dh-tires-26/
  3. And then they complain about it
  4. Still waiting for the Gopro vid and the how-to
  5. If the shim is machined with the right tolerances you won't have an issue. This is the one you want http://www.use1.com/use-hardware/accessories/309mm-i/d-shims
  6. If it's a QR then it is most likely a 135mm hub
  7. Wasn't that long ago when the Crossmark was THE tyre to have.
  8. Exactly IIRC Marzocchi has had 46mm offset on the 66 and 888 got a while

  11. There's calender time and actual usage time. 3 months of epic training time could be 6 to 9 months of "normal" time
  12. The widths are the same regardless of rim diameter. Eina! Have to ask, how deep is the seatpost into the seatube?
  15. Put a motor like that in and it's going to look like a Motorbike anyway (though a 1000GW motor "might" not actually fit ). What currently stops motorbikes etc. going on MTB trails? If it looks like a motorbike, it's probably too big to go on the trails and can just as easily be stopped from going on the trails as motorbikes.
  16. No such thing as ZERO pollution, with electric bikes, the energy (electricity) is generated elsewhere (i.e. power plants).
  17. As long as they are below a certain power, it's unlikely they'll cause much damage. Most of the benefit will come on the uphill sections and if the rider is seated the will be less likely to break traction and spinout than someone standing on the pedals trying to get up. Downhill, things start to even out way more in terms of speed
  18. Gonna try make it on Saturday, but looks like my wife is doing stocktake. See this as a bump
  19. Sounds like you need a set of dedicated commuter wheels
  20. NICE!!! Any idea of cost?
  21. Some BMX hubs use micro-cogs /sprockets
  22. Looks nice, but recycling aluminium is pretty energy intensive
  23. Commuters and tourers have been going 650 for FAR longer than MTBs (decades even)
