Managed 79 down concrete strips at Otto's Bluff (PMB). Unfortunately the strips end at a T-junction with cane fields directly opposite. Those cane fields got to know me well as I tried to better that speed. Never could.

Admittedly I know very little about aluminium grades, but isn't 7046 the most basic (weakest) grade of aircraft aluminium? Is the frame durable?

Photochromic = photochromatic. Transitions is a registered trademark for a photochromic tint produced by Transitions, as is Photofusion (made by Zeiss) as is Colormatic (Rodenstock) etc. There are minor differences in absorption, the newer lenses being more efficient. There are older versions of Transitions available, the latest is Transitions Xtra-active. Transitions 6 is the one still generally prescribed. (Now that is all a load of useless information!)

Makes sense to me, many of today's helmets appear to be designed by guys with too much time on their hands trying to do something different with the same limited materials with an object that has limited permutations. Imagine this one, if it gets muddy, chuck it and get another. Should be dirt cheap.

I received 2 issues for a year's subscription, not sure where the fault lies but on contacting Tread (twice) the problem wasn't resolved. Electronic distribution may entice me back but definitely not a printed edition which is not always received. Blame the SAPO? Maybe. This is Africa and we need to adapt to local conditions. Come on Tread!

Oops, I tried to find the website and googled www.c-sucker.co.za. Not what I expected to sea c see.

I've given up on a Tread subscription. Probably is the PO's fault, but end result is I never received my mags even after querying with Tread. Subscription probably ended by now anyway. I'll stick to overseas mags as much as I'd like to support local. Maybe once Tread is available digitally .......
