  1. I'm no fan either but there is one thing that I really enjoy it in. Same principals as BP coffee but instead of coffee, use red espresso and add cream. Quantities will vary between tastes but try 10g butter, 20g CO and about 20-30g cream and milk for additional volume. Also if you aren't limiting milk intake by too much, I heat up about 150-200ml milk in one of those Nespresso milk frothers, pour into a mug and add cream and CO. You can also add a few drops of vanilla essence to add to the flavour profile.
  2. Look like he is on a mission.
  3. Philip Buys has been lapped.
  4. Philip Buys is lying in 71st position.
  5. Absalon and Giger are 26s up at start of lap 4.
  6. He sure is! Here is live timing for those not able to watch. http://www.uci.ch/includes/asp/getTarget.asp?type=p&id=MTY2Mzg
  7. Start of lap 3. Total time: 22m06. Schurter, Absalon, Marotte, Giger and Tempie have a 30s gap on the field.
  8. It goes live in 4min if you want to watch it online. http://live.redbull.tv/events/355/2014-uci-mtb-world-cup-4-albstadt-xco-men/
  9. Don't be too naive though. First see if you can get through a hard training week without consuming "any" carbs before you start "neglecting" them at high intensities. (Kind of like referencing multiple studies to back your hypothesis and not just one, more data points lead to more accurate results. ) The way I see it; sure they may not be as important as everyone makes them out to be but I'd rather consume the carbs in order to maximise the recovery rate because the key to any endurance sport is consistency. And you need to be well recovered in order to put in decent training blocks to achieve the best possible gains.
  10. I had a 2009 Aprilia RS125. It was tons of fun especially around the track, you basically kept the throttle wide open all the time. But sold it after the engine seized for the second time. 1st time was a day after a service and the 2nd was because they forgot to replace the nylon oil pump gears when redoing the engine first time round. Engine seized on the same road on both occasions. After that I had a bullet proof 2000 BMW F650GS in a horrid yellow but recently upgraded to a 2006 R1200R which had a LeoVince SBK slip-on already fitted. I have fitted a windscreen since the photo was taken though as it wasn't much fun having to strain yourself holding on when going over 100km/h.
  11. No wine can be made in a week. My understanding is that the riders of either next year or 2016 will be receiving the bottles made from the pressed grapes of this year?
  12. Nothing is gone, Nathrix found Carpet's bike but the frame was damaged beyond repair. EDIT: what Stretch said above.
  13. Does he still work at the HPC? I believe he might have opened up a private establishment.
  14. Look through here for all the relevant info. But it is mostly flat and fast.
  15. I don't think this has been posted, either way it is really awesome.
  16. Whether it's this month or the next, I'm not sure.
  17. Tool-Up Cycles are also involved over there. They are still busy with trail building and will be officially opened on the 28th as a new bike park.
  18. I hope that is your own olive oil and not the industrial vegetable oil. Polyunsaturated fats = bad.
  19. Yes, I'll see you there. Only the late ride though. Hopefully it will be the start of me getting back on the bike again.
  20. Go ride with JCZA, he'll make you bonk. I thought I was going to implode on Saturday.
  21. My summary of what he said is that the body prefers to burn saturated fat, thus limiting it in the diet leaves only the stored body fat to utilise (in hope to lose body fat faster.) Kind of like cholesterol, restrict consumption and the body will compensate by producing more on its own. I've got no idea if this is what he meant though.
  22. The Race Face NW chainring is purely for 1X setups thus it has no pick-ups (?) that allow you to change from small to big chainring. Not knowing if there is (I'd assume that there is) a difference in material across the Sram range but maybe a X9 or X7 chainring might be a little more hardy. Also, the FD if similar to the X9 only has a 15T range between the big and small chainring. So with the 26T you'd only be able to go up to a max of a 41T, if that even exists. Therefore you'd need to buy a 28T small chainring to accommodate a 42T chainring.
  23. Out of interest, have you tried to see if any other Garmin HR strap can be picked up or does it not see any HR strap at all?
