We rode this trail yesterday and it was flipping brilliant. Trails were awesome and they will definitely start to flow better once they have been ridden in more. A season pass similar to NF would be great with dicounted prices (i.e 20 clicks for R20 a go) Really really awesome riding. Well done to Ricky, Grant and co.

Hi Chaps, I saw a bunch of mountain bikes leaving for a cycle from the Engen at the intersection of President Fouche drive and Witdoring road (in the Sonneglans / Boskruin area) a while back. Does anybody here know who these chaps were? And if possible how I would be able to get hold of them? Thanks, Ryan

I tend to agree with you... As long as you dont have any mechanical problems, that would require you to waste time fixing and then have to 'race' faster than you have trained for to make the cut-off. If you put in the hours. 12 - 15 hours a week with a number of back to back long weekend rides you will finish the Epic without too much of a problem.

So then why do they refer to the oil price every time there is a price hike?

I would find another shop asap. The way I see it. If a shop quotes R500-00 for a full service and on inspection determine that non of the parts on my bike are worn or broken and nothing needs to be replaced. Does that then give said shop the right to charge me R600.00 for the service because they did not make a profit on parts? No.

I agree! The powerbars rock your world 15min after eating. Expensive at like R22 each. but very easy to chew and work like a bomb.

I have not done comrades, but from what I hear you can barely walk the day after. Whereas Epic you can ride the next day no problem. :-)

We used the mechanics pack. Over priced I do agree. But the peace of mind knowing that you start everyday with a fully functional bike was worth every cent IMO.
