Was great to do a race again! I think this was Fast One number 5 for me but its my first time going through Eye of Africa and doing the climbing up to the mast. Really enjoyed the route and it was a good challenge with a bit of everything. Will definitely be back! Why the late start though?

Do you stick to the recommended cadence? Do "The Shovel" tonight..if you can stay under 150bpm...

You should definitely look at that reading, you should easily get above 150bpm Are you using the apple watch for HR? I did a 40min IDT session last night, according to my Garmin watch my Max HR was 160bpm. HR Strap shows 181bpm.

I am having some issues with my brakes so yesterday I decided to invest a bit of time and try DIY. To cut a long story short, I am dropping it off at my LBS this afternoon. What do I expect of them: Bike to be ready for collection before the weekendClean Clean Clean BikeIssue sorted and bike running smoothlyCommunication...not every hour or day but perhaps just a call or message if there are other issues or if the bike wont be ready in time.

Mosselbay but heading back in the next couple of days. Was around 36 degrees in Herbertsdale so make sure to take some cash for water etc.. We did a ride from Vleesbaai to Gouritz to the lighthouse and back to Vleesbaai again..awesome riding as well.
