  1. Hope some of you who already have a Pyga can advise me as I am suffering a terrible lusting for one! I am just over 6" and currently ride a Trance 29er with 140 Revolution forks, size medium, large just felt wrong even though my previous Giant was a large Anthem. Love the Trance but will be looking for a change in the future, how distant that future is we will see. Now the question is do I follow the 650b fad or stick to the 29er or just go all in for a Pascoe. I ride mainly trails with drops, gaps rocks etc but also do the occasional stage race so would need a bike for all occasions. My Trance is quite well spec'd with XX1, carbon bars (wide of course) and decent wheels ( Arch on thirteen components hubs), dropper etc So what would be the advice of the wise men be?

Apparently Shimano, more brake scream with Avid. Looks like a brave lighty to me!
  3. So sad to not be doing it this year, last year was great!! You will soon add some new swear words to your vocabulary , staring with hippo track! Hope you aren't on a hard tail ????. Brother in laws doing it and some other mates, look out for Flat Doggs
  4. Hope they still do the pedal upgrade thing like Bicicletta did, but somehow doubt it
  5. Agreed, helmet doesn't protect you much from a speeding car, more for your head hitting the deck or a tree.
  6. Yes true but just not very intelligent to ride without a helmet. I wonder what Schumakers current condition would be without a helmet? I have many friends who would not be still with us had they not been wearing a helmet at the moment of impact!
  7. Yup, I'm sure he has Thor Parts now
  8. Check your pedal as well just in case, might be a bit dry inside
  9. Will your units be sold fully charged? That's for the Amped crew
  10. There is also a 2013 trance 29er frame in the classifieds if you want to go that route. I know the bike and it is in very good nick
  11. Go check out the thread for the Giant Trance 650b and just buy one, you will not be sorry! Great value for money.
  12. So is there a 6 available with MTb bars?
  13. I used to put my bikes facing different directions on my Thule and also had to drop seats to prevent the saddle being eaten. I have recently started putting them on facing the same way, one further left and the other centres further right so they overlap nicely, and that has sorted out the seat post problem, I do however have a 2 bike rack so don't know if it will work on a 3 bike. Have also found the best way to prevent the bikes from rubbing is to shove a pool noodle between them concentrating on areas where there might be some friction
  14. Candy's are a great pedal, changed to them from Eggbeaters after riding a mates bike as they have more of a platform feel to them which suits the more trails type riding I do. Had that same problem with a friends bike that I set up and the shims did the trick. If you don't have the original shims I've heard that using the plastic from a 2 litre milk bottle. And stay away from those pressure cleaners all round
  15. Great event with good vibe! Felt very safe last year, except for the Shower singing competition and koedoebokdrolapoeg! It's a ride not a race though! Put it on your bucket list ????

  17. Looks like a warranty replacement frame with those colours, which would explain the non spec parts, I have a brand new frame just like it for sale in the classifieds for R12000 with the original shock and forks from my 2012 X1
  18. Had a towbar put on the back of my off road trailer and nearly lost 2 bikes due to the extra vibration and movement loosening the bolts on my euroway! Make sure everything is tight and not too much movement! I'm still nervous about putting my bikes on the rack after that experience!
  19. Been looking at the Giant Anthem 29er W which has been getting good reviews overseas. Also at a decent price! Any thoughts?
