  1. Which ever way it goes I'm deep sh*t.
  2. Ah flip. I made the mistake of riding this thing. Even though it was only about 200 yards, it's screwed up my whole balance of what makes a bike really nice. A long travel monster that's quick off the mark and comes up off the ground real easy... Man!
  3. Well, I feel like this guy when I ride mine. Although in reality I look like a lame giraffe. But I don't care.
  4. Flame me for a hardtail, but what the hell. This is a nice looking bike.
  5. They hucked a Pyga seat tube for this bike.
  6. I think Patrick (Pyga) designed the suspension linkage...?
  7. I heard that Pyga updated the rocker link a while ago. Does anyone know why and what the difference is? I have an early 120, and while I'm really happy with it, I can't help wondering if there's a difference.
  8. Do they even do that orange any more? Just sand blast the thing.
  9. Not sure if anyone's posted this. They should have. Amazing review. http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/category/bikes/mountain-bikes/full-suspension/product/review-pyga-industries-oneforty650-pascoe-x01-15-49661/
  10. He makes it look pretty easy - that track is nuts. Have you seen a pic of the new cliff? If you fell down there you could die.
  11. Screw the acetone, get the angle grinder.
  12. That thing is one big mud trap.
  13. Very thin top tube - look where it meets the head tube. Crazy thin.
  14. Top tube looks like a fishing rod.
  15. Not all of us are created equal. 1x10 is awesome, but you need to figure out what front ring works for you. The wrong one can really put you off the whole thing. I have 32T front rings on both my Pygas with 42T rings added to the back. For long stage races I go back to a normal 2x10 setup.
  16. Oh never mind...
  17. As someone on Pinkbike said... He's the Jamie Lannister of mountain biking.
  18. What I find amazing is how stable he is on his bike - when pretty much all the others are half losing it on the corners. It's almost like he's riding a different track.
  19. I just go big cog/big cog, and stretch the chain till the derailleur is pulled straight, then I back off 2 links.
  20. There was an awesome one on the classifieds not so long ago.
  21. It can be smoke and mirrors, because sometimes you don't want all the travel. If the trail doesn't have drops or serious rocks its nice to have a bit of "pop" in the bike - harder suspension that doesn't dive or compress too much. It can be faster. Apparently Gwin's winning run at the last DHWC was on less travel/higher pressure. I tend to run 35% or so, and then I use the "pedal" setting a fair bit when I don't want a sloppy back end. But I'm not by any means a highly skilled rider either - this just works for me. You should give your suspension/linkages a service. Made a difference to my ride even though everything was relatively new.
