  1. Expecting to see him on a gravel bike soon, although that chilled, flannel vibe is dying extremely fast with the prize money on offer.
  2. I think they need to worry more about Poggy, he's got a point to prove after his TdF defeat and he's hungry.
  3. I recently bought a Suito and I'm not having the same issue. Have you tried loading the Upgrado app to your phone and making sure the software is updated?
  4. Like I said, maybe it's just me 🙄 I'm still not convinced however, plenty other riders training to peak for the Worlds as well. Either way, it was a very exciting and enjoyable Femmes TdF, gone are the days of boring women's races 🤙
  5. At 66kg she's still over 10kg's heavier than some of the other pure mountain climbers and never shown to be particularly exceptional in the high mountains. While I can "maybe" believe she was just on a good ride on the day and absolutely buried herself to stay with the climbers on Sat, the fact that she could recover so well after that massive effort and deliver such a strong TT has just my set alarm bells ringing. Actually, even watching her climb on Sat had my alarm bells ringing already, she looked way more comfortable than some of the pure climbers.
  6. Am I the only one thinking Lotte Kopecky's performance in the high mountains and then right up there in the TT the following day was, to quote Greg Lemond in reference to Lance Armstrong, unbelievable? Maybe I'm just sour grapes over Ashleigh being knock down the rankings but past experience has shown that if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it's a f&^%g duck.
  7. Eish, I feel for you guys. Same thing happened to us a year or two ago but we went up and still had an amazing weekend and managed to get some great riding in as well. The back road through Suurbrak and the gravel route to Heidelberg is also an awesome route to ride 🤙
  8. I doubt it, looks to me like it's going up Bainskloof Pass and then links across on the gravel road to come down and around Doolhof Wine Estate. That's all doable on a gravel bike 🤙
  9. Some get stripped and sold in the classifieds, others get stripped and shipped across the borders, like they do with the motorcycles. Moz is a huge market.
  10. Very suitable to gravel bikes, I've ridden that area often on mine 🤙
  11. Keep an eye out for Ash today, she took it easy yesterday with the hope of giving it beans on todays lumpy stage 🤙
  12. This past weekend the Team Flip group in the Cape got a couple of like minded nutters together to knock out a 100 miler on gravel and mtbs. We did a mixed surface ride between Durbanville and Riebeek Kasteel.
  13. I'm not sure why UAE or Colnago have to prove anything to anyone with the bike change strategy. Taddy was faster than everyone else... except Vinny, that proves enough already. He just got beaten by a better rider on the day, it happens, pretty often in the Pro peleton.
  14. That should at least help track the box down
  15. A Neo-Retro Daccordi SLX that popped into my workshop for some attention this weekend. Running full Campag 11 speed SR and rolling on some carbon hoops. Weighing in at 8.7kgs... not bad for an old steel frame with a chrome fork 🤙 You'll see it often on the Northern Burbs roads this summer.
  16. That was an amazing weekend of bike racing. The Tour that keeps on giving 🤙 Vinny might come across as a reserved introvert but under that shirt beats the heart of a Lion. The race of truth will deliver the final bullet.
  17. If that pic doesn't make you want to get out and ride gravel then nothing will 🤤 Great shot, now I'm wishing I was on my bike 🤙
  18. I'm new to Zwift as well and have my 11 speed gravel cluster on my trainer and I don't seem to be experiencing the same issues as you. As far as I'm aware, it doesn't really matter what cluster you're using as it's power based. As mentioned, doing the FTP test is important though, all future intervals sessions you do after that are based on your FTP results. 65W at 85rpm is very light on the pedals, you'd need to be in the small blade up front and high up at the rear. Just be careful of the dead zone in Zwift where it tells you to ride at a particular wattage and if you let it drop below that, it increases its resistance automatically to force you to output those watts but it can turn into a death spiral quickly where the trainer basically kills your legs by upping the resistance quickly.
  19. Yussus, everything about this bike looks wrong and yet it looks so cool. Kind of reminds me of one of those Mad Max ratrod harley's 😲😄🤙
  20. @leon_pro, just before sunset going up the back of Devonvalley near Stellies. Not sure why he's pulling such a strained face though, the climb isn't that steep 😉 So good to have a bit of sunshine in the Cape for a change 🤙 Vanaand maak ons weer so 😃
  21. They weren't the only ones to rate the Revolt tops 🤙 Had mine since 2020 and absolutely love the ride the bikes gives 🤙
  22. I use an Elite Suito and it defaults to ZPower once you specify the trainer you're using and it won't allow me to change it to Classic. Any ideas on why or how to change this? I've notice some races don't allow you to race if you're using zPower.
  23. I did the Puy de Dome on Sat morning and found it somewhat easier than the Col d'Aspin... or maybe I'm just learning to pace myself better and keep some water inside my body 😊
  24. I tried the Col D'Aspin on Tues evening and really enjoyed it. The colour gradient worked well for allowing gear selection, especially just before hitting those red sections☠️ 🤙
  25. 6.92W/kg for ~21m is extra-terrestrial or one less testicle (get it?) no matter how you look at it.
