  1. Mirage was second from the top, Le Mans, Rapport and Sting were under it. Galaxy above the Classique but that came later. I raced a Classique for a few years as well early in the 90's, running Suntours 8 speed Accu-shift system.
  2. I'm really hoping this happens, it was the hilight of 2020 for me. Okay, I realise that doesn't say much considering the year we had but it was certainly one of, if not THE BEST event I have ever attended
  3. Have you checked your derailleur hanger alignment?
  4. What a stupid twatwassle, what he actually needs is 40 lashes across the foreskin with a wet shoelace
  5. For those keen to see how I used acid etching to achieve a pantography type engraved look on an old stem, take a look at my latest video
  6. It's in good nick so I think you'll be able to get closer to R2000-R2500
  7. I've got to must to say here that'll be impolite so I'll rather guard my tongue. Educate yourself on Border Collies, they aren't made to be closed in yard without lots of regular exerices. It helps them get rid of frustration as they are working dogs. It's equates to locking a hyperactive kid in a room.
  8. I'm looking for a 10 speed SLX or XT right change shifter if anyone has one lying around (with the clamp). Noticed yesterday that mines about to call it a day.
  9. Looks great but I'd certainly try and clear coat that frame, especially staying so close to the coast.
  10. Nice job = Happy young lady
  11. I pulled the trigger on one of these recently on Takealot. So far I'm extremely please with the quality it delivers. Phillips bought out Saeco some time ago and the quality looks good. Time will tell how it holds up.
  12. I also recently restored this beautiful Colnago Super for SA legend Conrad "The Caveman" Stoltz. Here's the Youtube link for those who may be interested... sorry, it's a lengthy vid. https://youtu.be/ObLPEcP8Pok
  13. I recently finished the restoration of this Peugoet Rapport as well. I resprayed this ones frame with rattle cans (it took to attempts to get it perfect ). Part 2 of the resto video will drop on youtube this weekend.
  14. Been a while since I've posted some updates but things have still been happening in the garage. I expanded my little operation by buying a vinyl cutter and setting my 16yr old daughter up with a sideline business making vinyl decals to earn pocket money and cut my own for the restoration projects. Here's some of the work she's done so far... with Dads help of course
  15. Long before you were born probably
  16. I've done few deep sections for customers, let me know if you don't come right. I'm in Brackenfell.
  17. Drop us a photo or two please shmuelyosef.
  18. It's difficult not to be envious of the bikes and parts you are able to source in Europe Beautiful find and great rebuild, thanks for sharing
  19. Sure looks like the same bike. Just goes to show, there are syndicates moving these top end bikes across the borders as they do with motorcycles and cars. Far easier to strip and hide a bicycle.
  20. I've been on the Wilddogs adventure biking forum for as long as I can remember and they obviously suffer with the same issue. Their solution was to allow users to unsubscribe from sub-forums e.g. Politics & Religion. So you essentially block what you don't want to see. The users will then see none of the posts from that thread at all. I found it worked great for my needs.
  21. You're right, that needs to be restored rather I'm super tempted but I literally don't have the space anymore, I've got classics standing in the lounge already. Thank God for an understanding wife Hopefully someone will snatch it up and do a Resto thread on it.
  22. That looks totally sick. How the heck did he get that rear wheel into those chain stays? Some cold steel tubing compression?
