  1. I was in the shop when this bike was brought in. Apparently Shey had called in the morning and said that he was sending it in with someone else for him to sell on his behalf. Documentation was filled out and a receipt issued re the delivery. Apparently Shey has stopped cycling re bad knee issues and was selling the bike. So the acceptance of the bike was done in broad daylight and a receipt was issued. So far there is no wrong doing, everyone know where the bike is and where it came from. If it is stolen there is a trail.
  2. It all comes down to training and fitness, well maybe a bit of fueling but not much. I say this with authority now that it affects me too. When training better or more a 5hr hard ride was no problem, but now that the fitness is gone It is almost like a switch that gets thrown after about 2 - 2.5hrs. Bang I hit the wall and I am doing nothing different other than training less, well almost not at all. No matter what you eat/drink, if your body is not used to the distance/intensity/time you will hit the wall. Why because you think you can in that time, but really you cant.
  3. There has never been time for a job! But always time for pissing it up and big Jolling. This is just the student culture. No sympathy here. I had to do it just to drink & party, but the same applies to doing anything else.
  4. Just doubt that the rear will track in the front tyre's path for more than about 5% - 10% of the time, so a bit of a moot point. Just check your tyre tracks next time you are out on the road, even a flat straight dirt road.

  6. So you always produce 100% correct and accurate work all the time every time?
  7. Why would he not expect a service provider to follow up? If you don't ask you don't get. Simple! I am in the service provision game and If I don't know I can't fix. So why slander me? Assumptions are the mother of all f--ups. ALWAYS CONTACT THE SERVICE PROVIDER FIRST!! How else must they resolve the issue. Have you never had a bad day at the office, forgotten to do ......
  8. I always thought compression garments were worn after events?? stupid me, forgot there were more marketing opportunities. What do they do while doing sport except restrict bloodflow? Ant apparently this is not a good thing when being active......

  15. Never really, but then I am always awake on the road, not like most roadies. If you believe the road belongs to you, you are on a hiding to nowhere. Listen, Look and anticipate. No problems.
  16. Quality, Price, Service. Pick any 2!!! And only if you are lucky. You say you are spending a lot of money there, yes. BUT you are spending a lot less than somewhere else. Just the way it is.
  17. Myself and many others have permits and bike boards, but the issue is the bikes are becoming Christmas trees and space is limited. So some of us carry the boards with us in our pockets, and others piggyback the boards on top of each other. So there is a chance that the wrong boaud is in front depending on where we are riding. I understand the issue and also reprimand non permit holders if we see them or if there are new riders in the group. However the issue of being stopped is no biggie, I I would rather appreciate it if it is done more often, this will stop the rouge riders and keep the trails open for us all. My 2c's
  18. Sorry for the hijack, but as you are talking BB's here, what is the benefit of these new pressfit BB's? And then more importantly how do you get them out to replace them? All the BB's I have used give trouble as soon as there is any play, so the pressfit needs to be super tight, so too should the removal be.... Maybe a new special super dear removal tool. Or am I missing something?

  23. Because they can. Dude why does anyone charge what they charge? Because the feel the market will bear it. And the more unlikely the results are the higher the price needs to be. Just think, you pay R500.00 for something that you find out is a load of crock (you thought maybe anyway) are you gonna tell ppl that is it k@k?
