  1. How is it that this incident hardly makes the news? Reams of reports of a kite surfer arrested on the beach but hardly anything about this
  2. Friend of mine had his car broken into at Meerendal this morning. Looks like it was remote jambing. WHen he got back to the parking lot it took a few attempt to get his car remote to work. They stole wallet and cell phone
  3. Pretty scary that a piece of the engine went right through the fuselage
  4. Some dishwashing soap in water in a spray bottle. To get grips off shove a screw driver between the grip and the handlebar and spray into the gap. Do this in one or two places and grip slides off
  5. Cars have been broken into at Hoogekraal recently, even on a busy day
  6. Can you re-concider selling spokes to the end consumer. You sell hubs, cranks, cassettes to the end consumer which all require specialised tools and experience, surely spokes are the same. Local bike shops only stock standard spokes, not even double butted and I have not had much joy getting any other types of spokes through the bike shops.
  7. Just recently finished respraying this Alpina which I have sold on

  9. Yesterday a vehicle was broken into in the Hoogekraal parking. 3 guys came in what was described as a silver Tata Indica, parked in the parking area and waited till it was quite
  10. "My biggest saving grace is that i cycled before i met her. When i met her i stopped cycling for a year. I became overweight and exteremly grumpy. She told me i had to start cycling again and i use that against her every time she tries to give me attitude." Amen, If I dont cycle for a week I become grumpy and fortunately my wife knows what will fix that so I get kicked out the door with my bike
  11. Very very nice, and Im so glad to see that you kept the shifter bosses and derailleur hanger. Its sad when people make fixies and cut them off so that it becomes almost impossible to restore the bike to original in the future.

  20. So with Discovery's new method of fitness assessment I have gone from above average fitness to below average They use the ramp up method on the Wattbike and reduce your workout to 80% of max heart rate as calculated by them which for me is 171*80% =137 My problem is that my max heart rate when training hard goes up to 186. So I hardly get going and not even breathing hard so I can still have a normal conversation and thats the end of the test. Discovery are doing a fine job of reducing points earned.
  21. You can consider riding along Forest Drive in Pinelands and going over the rail at Mutual Station, there are ramps and a bridge. Then up 12th Ave Kensington and over Century City Station which also has ramps.
