  1. Well played...
  2. Really enjoyed last year’s race, looking forward
  3. Apparently someone who didn’t mind coming second a bunch of times
  4. English 101, module 4, chapter 2: Class, the euphemism term for today is “make mistakes”. In the doping world, this is most often used only when said doper has been caught after years of denial and friends and family don’t want to say “f-ing cheat”
  5. I suspect Cape Union Mart will see a marked increase of vouchers being redeemed in the near future. (And, by sheer coincidence all R500 vouchers )
  6. Absolutely shocking.... Did they get the cleaning lady in to pose as head of IT and answer questions? This woman clearly has no clue what is going on in her department
  7. At least I got 100 points from my single play. (Incidentally, my wife and I played the exact same block and we both got 100)
  8. Same here, I don’t even have the energy to log a support ticket anymore; it has become a weekly admin exercise to log tickets across the Discovery stack
  9. Was thinking the same thing, let's hope...
  10. You just had to go there... ????‍♂️
  11. As long as they wear their watches on the same wrist, they should be fine (ask the Motsoeneng brothers)
  12. No no, these are not events for competing, they are “fun rides” ????
  13. Already mentioned by Nick
  14. About time
  15. Also cut the dstv umbilical cord last month; netflix and amazon prime for me now. Just a heads up, make SURE your DSTV is indeed cancelled, mine wasn’t even though I did it through the self service functionality on the website. Debit order still went off, had to phone again to cancel again
  16. Not great in my opinion, no road closure, had a few impatient motorists hoot at us. It was almost like a club ride where we were forced to ride single file in places. An old gripe is the fetching of the >£^%€ race numbers; had to fetch it Friday morning; I work in JHB CBD at the moment so a huge inconvenience. At least the traffic in and out of the venue was painless this year. Lastly; kudos to the water table at the top of hekpoort, koeksisters hit the spot!
  17. So pretty good day out, but I have to wonder; where the heck was everybody? I know there were some thunderstorms last night which may have scared some people off, but this morning was clear. Apart from the strong headwind in some places it was actually a nice, cool day for a ride. I see on racetec only 717 people finished, down from 1068 last year!
  18. I normally go to Silverton houthandelaars http://www.timbermerchant.co.za/
  19. *Someone* has his priorities wrong it seems...
  20. Decided to bite the bullet and come join in the fun as well
  21. Remember, you won’t get any points for the fitness test if you have already reached your 30000 fitness points for the year
  22. Should be about 2 pineapples, 3 pumpkins and 6 chicken breasts
  23. You've probably dropped a couple of kg's though.... Seriously though, I never really understood why Discovery would hand these smoothies as a reward. Don't get me wrong, I do love them, but they are super high in calories, and I'll bet my bottom R15, most people don't use them as a meal replacement. Take a look at some of them (per 350ml): Peanut butter bliss - 1711 kj Peanut butter bomb - 1702 kj Nut Milk - 1932 kj Vitamin See - 623 kJ BERRY DAIRY - 1136 kj
  24. Everybody just remembered how kuk Hekpoort is and wondering why they entered
  25. Strange how branding makes such a big difference to people; if this bike was taken exactly as-is and had a “Makro” sticker instead of “Cannondale”, I bet we wouldnt have a 20 page thread on it
