    Cricket......

Having faced a grand total of 61 balls through the series it certainly isn't the burden of batting that is overloading him
  2. To absolutely no one’s surprise, I wonder how long it’s going to take for Comrades to pull the plug on 2021 as well
  3. Lol... I always wonder the exact same thing when someone is "selling for a friend". Does someone with that kind of cash for a bicycle not access to the interweb or phone that he can use to sell his own sh!t?
  4. I would like to say "well played", but you just won yourself some Karate Kid training... ie Paint the fence
  5. After some serious contemplation on the white throne this morning to ensure I get rid of all excess weight I can at least report an average loss of 0.5kg per week; slow but steady. Training has been coming along nicely, averaging about 40min every day of the month with only 3 days of not logging any activities. Room for improvement (as always) on the diet front; the drop could have been a lot more impressive if I didn't eat those o-so-tempting brownies & birthday cake. Voorwaarts!
  6. I laughed when I saw this, this is exactly my current situation as well; having a 2 year old and 4 year old is not conductive to early morning training. When I did training for Comrades in 2019, a LOT of my runs were quite late at night often only starting at 22:00. It wasn't always due to the kids that lead to starting so late, a lot of the time it was procrastination and trying to motivate myself to go train after putting them to bed. I have never really struggled with going to sleep after a late night workout, if anything it helps clear the mind and I dont roll around thinking about tomorrow's problems.
  7. You like charcoal? Gordon Ramsay would not be impressed
  8. Yeah... or bacon. 100g @ 1500 kj or 2 pieces 335 kj. I always gravitate to the lower kj one

    iPhone 12 release

Nah, don't worry about the cover, you don't need it. That is, until you do, and then you are going to wish that you did.
  10. More detail would be helpful - Bicycle colour scheme - Year model of bikes - Area bicycles were stolen - Any distinguishing characteristics - Different components on bikes (e.g. groupset, fork, brakes ) etc etc
  11. In for the first time. Lockdown did a number on my weight; no exercise, no motivation to exercise and working long hours (Seeing that your home is now your office, people seem to assume that you are always available) took it's toll. Getting on the scale and see how close I am to breaching the 1/10th ton mark was an eye opener. Time to vreet less and do more
  12. Agreed, my wife has an Apple and it's a fine piece of tech, however if you want to use it for any event (e.g. Ironman) that will take longer than a few hours to complete it falls a bit short. Also, I don't think it's as robust as the Fenix. In short, aimed more towards a person who works out than someone who takes fitness a bit more seriously
  13. Yeah, my big problem came with lockdown and a IDT that decided to give up the ghost just as lockdown started. A few months of doing NOTHING leads to being as unfit as I've ever been. It's been a struggle to get back into any kind of exercise rhythm since. Leave starts today, so hopefully 3 productive weeks of training ahead
  14. You should have asked them to plug in one of their brand new, PVR decoders
  15. Maybe "off topics" are just going to be rebranded to "site announcements". e.g. Site announcement: "Girls on Bikes", or Site Announcement : "Donald Drumpf"
  16. That's stunning; well done; your workbench looks better than the furniture in my house TBH, I would be quite apprehensive to use it for it's intended purpose; my idea of workbench is the cheapest wood I could find put together as quickly and sturdy as possible; definitely not something I would feel sorry for.
  17. Got to agree with you; If I just look at the active topics list (which is obviously a dynamic list continuously updating), I can't see how the off-topic discussion are generating so little traffic stats. Maybe it was KPMG audited.... They have been known to get the odd audit "wrong" *nudge* *nudge* *wink* *wink*
  18. I see Kandie, Kipruto & Mutiso (1,3,4) all wore prototype Adidas Adizero Adios Pros; Kiplimo looks like Nike's from the photos. Adidas seems to be the new Vaporflys. Interesting analysis on the unreal performances in this race: https://www.letsrun.com/news/2020/12/utter-insanity-kibiwott-kandie-runs-5732-as-the-top-4-finishers-break-the-world-record-in-the-valencia-half-marathon/
  19. New 21km world record... first four all broke previous record. I find it incredibly hard to believe that 4 athletes all ran faster times than any athlete before today. Lockdown “training” must have been good
  20. I know there's a word for this sort of behaviour, just can't quite put my finger on it....I know it's an afrikaans word... Is it being "woes"... no no..... maybe it's "hoes", nah not that either... uhm "roes" damnit... it's on the tip of my tongue; just can't get it
