  1. Yes 105 is a road groupset And technically it is (2:1) pull ratio, where the deraileur moves twice as far as the cable pull for every shifter click. The 2:1 rstio is actually closer to 1.7 or 1.9 for Dura Ace.
  2. Shift increments are controlled by the Shifters. 10 speed Shimano RD would work perfectly on a 9 speed cassette. I have even used a 9sp Dura Ace RD on a 10 speed groupset without problems, cassette width remains the same but the spacing between the grears differ and that is controlled by the shiter.

Statistically more riders have broken the sub 3 without Boyes drive. The numbers and luck is up, no Boyes Drive next year!
  4. Raced over that gravel a couple of years with deep sections and tubbies, no problems.
  5. damit I thought we were starting an online Bridge club. Can we?
  6. If the hub fails, try FB: 15th September. Stellenbosch 130km 28th September. Allée Bleue. 160km 5th October. Pardeberg 170km 12th October. Allée Bleue 160km 26th October. Pardeberg. 170km
  7. There fixed It is an optical illusion, they dont feel weird or off balance at all. If you were blind folded and got on the exact same bike, one with a Lefty and one with a fork, you would not be able to tell the difference.
  8. Jy redeneer al om jou gat. If you now know less than before, after I sent you the link explaining how lefty's work, then can not help you any further. Go ask a grade 1 to draw you pictures or play "is" / "is nie" with you I'm done
  9. Nope I am not, you said it here best: Like this: I fail to see where you asked a question. Not in your 1st post, not your 2nd and in your 3rd you are saying "I am asking the experts" but where is the question? If you want to ask a question ... ask a question! If you want to talk crap, be prepared to back it up and be prepared to get flamed for it.
  10. No we dont ... but at least understand it before calling it flimsy or wrong ... or at least base you experience on something other than a one time ride around the block. BTW, I ride Fox ... (tested Lefty plenty)
  11. If it is rubbing there, you have bent the RD itself
  12. Hanger, is what it is called. Where is the chain catching? Difficult to see from that pic
  13. There ... fixed
  14. They Always felt flimsy and wrong? ... based on the one time you rode someone else's bike around the block? So who got Silver? Was it not a Cannondale Lefty? There is so much technology that goes into these, I not even going to try and explain. So much that set them apart and make them what they are. Just read this Cannondale Lefty Review - Bike Radar We agree on something ja
  15. That guy from back to the future - Jamie Fox Win the 2014 league in 2013, yes he can!
  16. Just in case you missed it:
  17. Not quite, the maps might be the same but the functionally is different. Lets say you are on holiday in another country (while touring), you can quickly say you want to do a 50km ride. This gives you options. Straight back and out, a loop or to a specific point of interest. Lets say you want to do a 50km loop, it will provide you with 3 different 50km loop options. Should their be a particular point of interest along the way you want to visit, you can add that to your route. There should, as far as I understand, be more points of interest loaded on this as well. Banks, ATMS, guest houses, hotels, restaurants, historical places and much more stuff you might find useful when touring, much like the functionality and ability of the car gps's
  18. Looks pretty cool if you want to tour and explore the unknown. An Edge 800 body with more GPS features Price looks to be around $299 for the bundle with HR + CAD and all the rest More info on DC Rainmakers site:
  19. With all that climbing, they want you back before sunset.
  20. Nice write-up but I cant see race distances, start times, entries or any info regarding the riding itself? If it is in the events page, my apologies, browsing on the mobile site doesnt show the events page
  21. They should have consulted Spartacus on how it is done! (they should also remove the Lefty ... that does brand damage leaving that on a help-my-trap!)
  22. Out of your two options, I would go with option 1. The Garmin + PowerCal I found the Joule not as userfriendly or as customizable as the Edge. If you are not bothered with cadence, then no, you dont have to get the garmin speed/cad sensor. The PowerCal does not require one to work. The PowerCal is a great tool for someone that wants to track progress and wants to get a better idea of their performance. It is also for someone that does not worry about the initial differences in numbers between a powertap and the tiny little bit of heart rate lag of the PowerCal. It is also for someone that does not want to spend anything from R10 000 to R20 000 on a tool that they are not really going to understand unless they seek advice from a coach that truly understands the data and knows what to do with it. In other words, it is a great tool for you can me, go for it!
  23. A tensioner looks k@k ... thats all.
