  1. Nothing warrants mob type justice and these morons should face up to what is coming!
  2. I hate to disappoint you but I have seen very few bargains at any of the Expo's. Look here on the Hub or CWC and the like. IMO I agree with MH and Maxxis, especially about pedals/ shoes. Make a huge difference. ( SPD's or Candys)
  3. The best view was that of the Aussie players when first Rogers and then Lyon walked! The shock on their faces was something to behold. That said, they are fighters and deserve respect, although it was disappointing that some of their players never went down to shake hands. Lets hope Newlands answers the question once and for all.

    Rugby...

I think that one should keep up the support for their team through good and bad, as difficult as it gets.I have been Natal supporter my whole life and the real old toppies out there will remember when they were relegated to the B division for a few years. They did manage to reach a Currie Cup final while down there(Against Province in the early eighties) Their supporters never wavered and it was the Natal Rugby Union that started first the semi pro era, and finally the full pro era. They never had the luxury of the big universities and a huge number of defence force clubs in their player pool so they did something different. Mostly it was career opportunities and of course certain other incentives and look what happened in 1990! They won the cup convincingly against Northerns( the first and last time in100 years according to Naas) and the rest is history. Stick with your team and the supporters voice may just force change!
  5. Any LBS that does not let you know what you are in for before they proceed with the work, is questionable, to say the least. Part of the post service/repair should be a test ride by someone who signs this off and should take responsibility when things are wrong. Christopher above says it like it should be.

    Rugby...

Hate is a strong word reserved for bikejackers and the like. I feel sorry for the Stormers who are mislead by their local press and the ineptitude of their coach who seems not to be able to alter strategy when needed.

    Rugby...

Don't forget you need possession to perform these feats. The joke is on the Bulls who decided that Boshoff was inferior to Fouche.

    Rugby...

The Cape Town press must be the most embarrassing bunch of idiots that ever put pen to paper! I haven't seen the papers yet but I can imagine the tone of the reports. The Lions played as if they had something to prove and good for them. The Stormers? Once again no more than a storm in a teacup. By now it should have been bye bye Alistair Coetzee. One of my neighbours always raises a Stormers flag before a game. If they lose he flies it at half mast. Yesterday he removed it completely...........nuff said!
  9. It always amazes me why the dragstrip that is Otto Du Plessis is used when there is a perfectly good dedicated cycle lane.
  10. Even the great Kallis was exposed when he had to come in as an " opener" due to the failure of the current pair. Petersen and Smith are failing dismally and I think that Smith's captaincy begs questioning!
  11. Every time one of the "Big Three" lose a series it is great for the rest. Now we have some work cut out for us.

    Rugby...

Not if you keep playing " Oom Victor" and the other oversized, under finessed domkrag forwards!

    Rugby...

I've said it elsewhere but when are the Bulls going to learn that "Domkrag" does not beat finesse. The New Zealand sides and the Aussies are going to expose these huge, big loosies every time. As for Matfield, he has nothing to prove, stay retired and remember your opening salvo in super rugby 2014, a foul on the young gun Peter Steph Du Toit, and another penalty when you forgot to release the ball - rugby changes have left you behind. Many boxers have made late comebacks only to make asses of themselves.
  14. Our guys would have difficulty grabbing him with all the KFC grease on their fingers!
  15. Gumtree, with respect, and OLX are being used to aid criminal activities! Perhaps their administrators need to be as sharp as the Hub's.
  16. I missed the last 2 due to illness and a family wedding( Illness as well?) after 11 straight. The scale of the event and just taking part in the event is worth it. If you are a racing snake and have not got a seeding in the first couple of batches then do what so many of us do, go out and have a fun day. You might just find cycling enjoyable again. Often the crashes are caused by the wannabee Froomes and the like.
  17. Ask any Pretoria person where the Holiday Inn is, or the Hilton, they are unlikely to know. The 224 - everyone knows the 224. I lived there for a month back in the eighties as punishment.
  18. Makes one think, doesn't it? Still a great rider.
  19. Sad loss. Only one way, money must reflect in your account. Just looking at this character, I wouldn't have trusted him with the time of day!
  20. Well done Swift! I must also praise the hub(bers) for the response.
  21. I witnessed two cyclists, almost three, being taken out by an Idiot opening his car door in Sea Point this morning at 06h30. Shock and bruising seem to be the main injuries but they have been taken to hospital for proper observation. The Cervelo TT bike lost its front forks but other than some peripheral damage, not too bad. A good Samaritan who stopped and parked her bike and walked down the main road to signal traffic with her light took off her helmet and sunglasses and put them on the verge as she was busy waving down the rush, turned around to find that some a......e had nicked them! Her name is Kelly and she did not deserve this for her effort in helping until the Police and ambulance arrived. I am sure there is a bike shop or wholesaler out there who will graciously help her out with a replacement. Come on guys, I have her contact details!
  22. Bosch have a good product, available at Speedy's - 2 bike rack with all the bells and whistles, foldable, lockable. I did change the plug in system to the good old fashioned SA standard.
