  1. For those looking for new/more shoes. Some older Hoka models on onedayonly.co.za
  2. Thanks, please let me known if you received it. Not sure if it went through
  3. Has anybody found a store that sells the max lens mod for the Hero 9 locally? I just realized that my current wearable gimbal doesn't work with the bigger hero 9. With that being said, anybody looking for a wearable gimbal?
  4. Do you know of a live way to follow the race?
  5. Also have a pair, these shoes are ridiculously comfortable. I'm considering buying another pair just to walk around in.
  6. You, sir, have my full and undivided attention.
  7. As mentioned carbon paste and torque to manufacture spec. Also check the stem bolts (The bolts that tighten the stem to the steerer tube)
  8. Lucky...I've been riding there weekly for the last 6+ years and I've never seen a snake there. I've Always wanted to
  9. Shoutout to Thesavage.biz So the time came to replace my trail shoes. I opted for a pair of Altra lone peak 4.5s and the only place that still had stock in my size was Thesavage.biz. So I ordered my pair and ended up getting a message from Morgan. He explained that there was a stock error and that they didn't have my size in any colors. To me this wasn't a big deal and I wasn't expecting much from it, maybe a refund or store credit. BUT Morgan then offered me the BRAND NEW Lone peak 5s at no extra cost. He also made sure that they reached me asap (had them within 24hrs). Just thought to share my experience with you guys/girls. For a smaller company to still go above and beyond especially in these pressing times needs to be praised. If you need anything for your next adventure I can definitely recommend Thesavage.biz Big KUDUS to them, thanks again Morgan!
  10. Howzit guys/gals. I need some advice please. I recently discovered my trail shoes (Salomon Ultra Pro) have started to tear inside the heal cup. I know this isn't an unseen thing with running shoes BUT they only have 351km on them.(My road shoes are sitting at 1500km with no signs of wear) So I was wondering is it worth it to ask about the warranty? The shoes are less than a year old so still in the Salomon warranty period.Surely shoes marketed as "Ultra shoes" shouldn't start to tear this early? Any input would be appreciated!
  11. Bit the bullet today and ordered the Inov-8 vest. It was a close call between the UD mountainvest and this one! I believe it will arrive by Wednesday (hopefully). I'll write a short review after some proper test runs. Thanks for the all input????
  12. Thanks, I've had my eye on the UD vests and I just can't get myself to like the blue (I know, stupid reason). I also like the Halo vest but I've read too many reviews stating that the lightweight, race specific design isn't up to standard with the other UD products... I'm currently trying to torn between the Salomon adv skin 12 and the Inov-8. Both seem great but I'm currently leaning towards the Inov-8 because of the large detachable pocket
  13. Hi hubbers, I have my eye on a running vest/pack from Inov-8 but need some help. I'm looking at the Inov-8 Ultra Pro 2in1 vest and was wondering if anyone has some experience with it? I've watched all of the videos and read all of the reviews but none of them really go into detail of the "main pack". All of them focus on the extendable pocket. Is the "main pack" without the extended pocket a usable vest? Is the back only a mesh or is it also a usable pocket. I know it's small but will I be able to carry a rain jacket and some other small pieces of kit with me? TIA!
  14. Hi, firsty this is an awesome initiative, well done! Then, I have a set of Bontrager rapid drive hubs, do you know if your freehubs will work? I see that you mention that DT swiss parts are used with Bontrager hubs but I just want to confirm.
  15. Awesome, thanks for the info!
  16. Hi, does anybody have any updated info on these trails? I'll be there for the last bit of September and would love to not ride any tar roads...
  17. Decided to pull the trigger on a USWE "action pack" and Action camera harness ! After constantly struggling to find a chest mount that will be strong enough to stop my gimbal-setup from bouncing I decided to give this a try. The pack is extremely comfortable even with the camera harness installed and the gimbal/camera doesn't move at all! I don't usually ride with a pack because of how bulky they look and feel but this one looks sleek, feels fast and is just big enough to fit a bladder + all the camera extras. Now I have a comfortable pack for those SUPER long days and a comfortable camera harness.
  18. This is a very very nice build!Congrats, many happy and safe miles!????
  19. Im Currently leaning towards the 34, it's super smooth compared the the Reba. Can't really feel a difference in stiffness though
  20. Im currently trying to figure out if I want to keep my previous 100mm RS Reba or The Fox 34... When the decision is made, decals will be bought
  21. Not brand new, but new to me Came across a once in a lifetime deal on a Specialized Sworks epic frame and Fox float 34 SC performance fork and I obviously pulled the trigger ... I also just had to get the matching Sworks phenom seat and Sworks seatpost
  22. My girlfriend doesn't ride, wants to though but the finances needed to start riding is blocking her way, she also finds cars, rocks and the possibility of getting hurt extremely intimidating. She mostly gets jealous/sad of not being able to experience the things that I always talk about so I made a point of arranging to meet her at nice coffee shops and taking some pictures with her at these places. I also constantly ask for her opinion regarding bicycle parts (color of grips etc.) just to try and include her. I also figured out that I constantly talk about these magnificent places where I ride my bike and she has absolutely no way of relating to it. I decided to try and make it relevant to her by going on walks/hikes at these places. That way I don't talk about "that one waterfall that I rode past" but instead I talk about "that one waterfall where we dipped our feet in the water on the hike" So, she doesn't have a problem with me riding because it doesn't result in me neglecting the relationship
  23. I've been eyeing Garbaruk components for a while now, did you encounter any difficulties with bringing the parts in?
  24. Im looking for a 165x38mm rear shock. I have a 2003 Giant NRS with a completely buggered shock. The only shocks available are all worth more than the bike. If you have anything old, unwanted but still working please let me know. TIA
