  1. Nothing burnt there my friend
  2. Did a brisket on the smoker for 16 hours yesterday. Ate it without any potato bake etc so calories weren’t bad. Tasted bloody good though.
  3. I’ve been good this week apart from Wednesday night when the kids asked for smoked ribs.
  4. Be aware that most manufacturers don’t recommend carrying carbon road bikes in a platform rack without the carbon bike frame protector.
  5. My wife is sympathetic, but with teenage kids home schooling at the moment, lots of treats coming into the house. Luckily I have a chest freezer full of meat so I can cook “treats” that are still relatively healthy and keep the kids happy as well. Smoked some Pork chops the other night. Lean, tasty, a bit of rocket to go with them. Hard to beat
  6. It’s been some challenge educating the family not to buy treats and snacks for me over the past week or two. Even last night, my wife kindly made me a decaf coffee and handed it over with two Oreos. My biggest challenge is saying no when the damn treats are in front of me.
  7. That was brutal calorie watching (1400 per day), 5k run every day and 10 on sundays and cycling everywhere possible. Also, my wife said I became obsessive and difficult to live with. [emoji23]
  8. Don’t think so. Android doesn’t protect privacy to the same level as iOS
  9. Just use iMessage. Similar functionality and nobody is monetising your data full stop

    iPhone 12 release

True, but we also cannot blame Apple for the fact that Vodacom are saying to Cois that he should be able to access 5G now.

    iPhone 12 release

Apple and Vodacom need to agree the terms, dates etc, but it will be up to Vodacom to share that info and it is ultimately up to Vodacom to deal honestly with their customers

    iPhone 12 release

Ghost is correct. The network will need to enable it as a service.
  13. When I was 40, I shifted 25 odd kilos in about 3 months. Feels much harder these days. Although then I used to travel all the time for work so it was easier to be disciplined as I didn’t have time to snack.
  14. Makes sense. The values are dramatically affected if the reseller needs to do any work whatsoever on them. Remember that the Istore will be paying values dictated by a third party in most cases. As for iPhone 6, you’d be pretty lucky to get anything as a trade in. Far better just to sell them second hand .
  15. That lens was probably about to come out anyway. Not sure why they used prestik to clean it either. Seems odd, although Prestik is used to remove debris from the mic, speaker and receiver of a phone. Any Apple Authorised Repair centre will be able to do warranty work on behalf of Apple. Who repaired your screen? Sounds like they didn’t do a great job and probably didn’t use an official part,
  16. Third attempt. Last year started so well and ended so badly. Was training for an event that didn’t happen and then sort of just stopped everything after it was cancelled. As usual, struggled over Xmas. Determined to follow through this year. Shocking 111 at weigh in this morning.
  17. Must be wonderful to fly for a living as well as having an obvious love for aeroplanes
  18. I am similar. Your post made me look closely at my watch. It definitely has a few marks and stuff after 2 years of abuse, but the glass is surprisingly not scratched. I find that AppleCare gives me peace of mind so I don’t treat my watch any differently now to how I would another utility watch. Having said that, in four years of having an Apple Watch, I’ve never had to claim.
  19. Ireland had all the options boss. Order via the apple website
  20. I’m biased but the squared face seems to have more space for notifications etc.
  21. Am I right in thinking that some of the Russian airlines are not allowed to fly to Europe because of their lack of safety?
  22. Select the contactless option and it should then work.
  23. That’s unusual. We’ve half a dozen sets of AirPods and pros around the house, mine still from the early days and, apart from me dropping one down the toilet on a train (long story) we’ve had little trouble. Having said that, AppleCare is a great benefit
  24. They are incredible.
