  1. [quote=Willehond Buy from a real shop like CWC. Cheap AND good service! Cant say i has the same CWC good service experience, put in an order for a tool set advertised on special together with a few other items. Received a mail stating they were out of stock with the tool set but would contact me when they had. Waited a week nothing, sent 2 follow up email's enquiring whats happening, to date still nothing.
  2. The left hand rule is there for safety sake, only total road closure should closure should exclude it.
  3. Al die besonderede en koste is op die link, maar weet nie van die tiepe lisensie nodig om die Argus as vet te ry. http://www.cyclingsa.com/downloads/licenses/
  4. Biggest non event posts on the Hub - Texas Sally
  5. Bad luck there Wolverine
  6. Nice pic's
  7. Good women riders for MTN, however i think there is a potential problem of who will be chiefs and who will be indians. Comments made in the past, is that some women riders were not happy to ride just to allow someone else to get the glory (Anriette and Proline as an example), Altie Clark has mentioned previously here on the hub that she has no need of a team, so whats changed now.
  8. I dont agree it was crap, i got socks, porridge, energy bars, waterbottle, powder sports drink, juice, shower gel, foam bath, relaxation oils, a razor and plenty of pamhlets to read all inside a nice reusable bag
  9. Multi Tool ? would that be the razer that could be used by male or female to shave.

  15. Could be piece, piece refers to an object, a bike is an object in which case he found his piece as he was sitting on it.
  16. Collest thing at the expo i saw was the marketing girls at some of the stands, unfortunately with the g/f in tow i could not look too closely.
  17. I get your point, you would still need something that differentiates you on race day as someone with a permanent number that has entered the event as opposed to someone who has a permanent number but has not entered and just rocks up to ride. Also how would you control batches and riders starting in their designated start groups. Due to numbers and seeding some races i could start in Lic some A, others B etc.
  18. Carbon is a better material for its unrelenting material properties. Aluminum is subject to age hardening as well as work hardening as well as fatigue. Fatigue is a big concern. Aluminum has an endurance limit as do most materials however, the endurance limit of carbon is considerably higher than aluminum.
  19. Also went to register today and lets just say my g/f smiling i'm not.
  20. Cyclocross ?? I think you mean cyclosport and yes you do get a card. With the cyclosport you will be seeded with full lic age and sex categories, elites vets etc if there is space available in the start group otherwise you will be seeded in ability category using the national seeding index.
  21. The 5.0 has cadence and HR and the 6.0 includes altitude . Not too shabby at less than half the price of a polar.
  22. When you regsister for recreational lic you need to supply your id number which will be added in a database. The orgs will the verify your entry when you pick up your number.
  23. Finality on the licence requirements for 2008. OF NOTE IS THAT YOU NEED NOT BELONG TO A CLUB BUT CAN AFFILIATE DIRECTLY WITH YOUR PROVINCIAL BODY AND THE CYCLOSPORT AND RECREATIONAL LICENCE ARE MULTI DISCIPLINARY. NEW CSA LICENCE REGULATIONS FOR 2008!<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> CSA have announced that it will commence rolling-out its new licence system. 1st January 2008 the new system will become compulsory, nationwide. 1. The CSA Full Racing License Events run under UCI regulation such as SA Champs, Provincial Champs and Stage races (and the like will, as usual), require an Elite (full racing licence) Licence. This is a Full Racing Licence for all categories i.e. Elites men and woman, Under 16's, Juniors, Under 23's and Vets. For all other events, entrants who do not have a Full Racing License (Elite Licence) will require to have either a: Cyclo-Sport Licence or the new CSA Recreational Licence. 2. The CSA Cyclo-Sport License A License card will be issued and licence holders will continue to be required to be a member of a club or a member of their provincial body (i.e. CGC, Pedal Power Association). The price for a Cyclo-Sport Licence is R100, 00. This licence is multi-disciplinary, i.e. valid for Road, MTB, BMX and Track, where applicable. 3. The CSA Recreational License/ Member License This is an alternative to the Cyclo-Sport Licence and is intended for recreational cyclists who are not really interested in competition. No licence card will be issued initially but it will still be a requirement that the licence holder must be a member of a club or of their Provincial Body (i.e. CGC, Pedal Power Association). This licence fee will be R20,00. This will be paid by the Club or your Provincial Body (CGC or PPA). CSA Recreational Licences taken out from 1 September 2007 will be valid till 31 December 2008. This licence is multi-disciplinary, i.e. valid for Road, MTB, BMX and Track, where applicable. 4. A Single Event Day Licence If you are not a member of a Club or your Provincial body, then you will be required to take out a single event CSA Recreational License commonly known as "a day license". The cost will be R30,00 per event. If a cyclist is not a member of a Club or their Provincial body (CGC or PPA) when entering The Cape Argus Pick 'n Pay Cycle Tour on-line they will be required to pay for single event day licence for a fee of R30.00.
