Sadly, my 2014 Anthem frame cracked during Juma 2017. Did some good rides and many happy miles on that frame, but she's gone now. Warranty kicked in and got a replacement within a week. Very happy it's a black frame again! Fairly standard / stock but did upgrade to AC Wide Lightning and still have the 120mm fork. Love the new ride!

I lost my sunnies AND cracked a frame. Quite an eventful Juma for me this year. Glasses fell off while in the tunnels so nowhere near the dam.

Don't think it's needed for when you collect the race pack / stickers. Just make sure you bring it Sunday morning with the correct stickers they give you at registration.

Awesome event and loved it last year! Missing it this year because of Sani... Will hopefully be there again in 2018.

Oh man that sucks! I got it a few weeks back. Got home after a ride in the bush and at first thought some bug must've dropped into my shirt and munched on my skin. Had a look later and saw the circular patterns and little bumps forming. My wife immediately said "that's shingles" so straight to the doctor the next day and he confirmed her spot diagnoses. Prescribed some anti-viral drugs I had to take every 5 hours for 10 days and it was gone within 7 days...

Agreed. The 22km will be over before you can say "What is that smell...?" Very lekker ride the 54km
