  1. I don't know much about the inner workings of a fork but it is possible that the seals on the fork are running dry. I would take it back IMO.
  2. Does it loose air? @Jakes 001does servicing on suspension but I won't be too happy with that. It looks to me like there's already wear starting to appear (but what do I know ๐Ÿ˜)
  3. It is effectively a mullet already ๐Ÿ˜. It's got 160mm travel with a 2.8 in the front and 2.5 in the rear
  4. I will be bringing in an Airfreight consignment either in December or in January and can just chuck one in the cube for you. The cheapest one I can find is around R370 (landed in SA - this includes, shipping, import and VAT).
  5. That's very kind, thank you very much. PS: the Pyga is getting some new rubber - 2.8s as the current set is rubbish ๐Ÿ˜
  6. L frame on a 29er frame and XL if you were to consider 26er or 650B . What are you looking to spend?
  7. Brands aren't too important, size will be quite important and actually liking your bike is also quite key
  8. I wouldn't go for any of the above mentioned, I won't go into too much detail but I will list one disadvantage for each: Trek - 26er Avalanche - straight steerer Rook - is more of a commuter bike
  9. Pudo annoys me, not because of issues on their side but merely because I am lazy and don't like to collect the item when they tell me to
  10. I wouldn't say a cm but rather a mm . But back to the wheels: They're American Classic and the hoops are light but also quite soft, so the risk will be to either crack the rims around where the nipples sit or pull the nipples through the rims completely. If a light set of wheels are the only determining factor then I can help
  11. The rest of the stuff won't be worth much but the above mentioned still holds some value. The prices mentioned above is the "sell quick" prices. If it was me I would list all the 10 speed stuff as a bundle for around R850.
  12. Hey there, yes it is safe in that area
  13. Hang on, wait what? Are we handing out one or two star ratings for skewers? Surely there's more important things we can keep ourselves busy with
  14. That's 100% correct, I get sun burnt whilst lying under bed
  15. I assume this is what you're after: https://www.cyclelab.com/product/4001661-tool-spec-icetoolz-shim-bb9000-bb-remover-m095?source=google&medium=ppc&campaignid=20298412298&adgroupid=&device=m&keyword=&gad_source=1
  16. Does anyone want to hear my opinion - NO Am I a legal mind - NO Am I part of the HubMob fighting for causes which only appeals to me - YES Is it Friday - YES So please take my opinion in the light mentioned above: He drove past you so close that you don't have to shave your right leg again anytime soon . Does he have the spacial awareness to know this? Probably not. So to him: being shouted at was the first point of contact and he replied to the verbal comment He then carries on "earning a living" by dropping his clients off. He's then "attacked" (over exaggerated for effect) by a lycra wearing white man. He then has flashes of the apartheid days and fears for his life. This is cemented by the damage caused to his property. He then grabs his shambok in retaliation. Putting it like mentioned above you can see that if this was a legal battle it would look like you started the incident, the first bit where he drove past you really really close boils down to his word against yours. Have a great Friday everyone
  17. I used to ride alone around 95% of the time, now I also ride alone on the trainer . I just can't see why I need to ride outdoors, especially here in PTA, all the routes have been cycled a billion times and the new added dangers on top of that just doesn't make sense anymore.
  18. Tubeless tires will make up close to 50% of her budget if she buys new or replacements ๐Ÿ˜
  19. Thank you very much for the shout out @ChrisF. I read this and one thing struck me: I hope to buy right first time that will last 10+ years. This was confirmed in the second post: I unfortunately need to buy online and courier as we are quite remote Based on these comments I would not eco what @Scary Ridersaid. @HubMob get your pitch forks ready as this boy is going to be different . Your ideal bike: 26er with an oil fork, cable disc brakes or even v-brakes as well as tubed tires. Because you're remote you don't want to take the bike for a tinkering every week. You want something with as little maintenance as possible which you can just get on and ride. Yes the latest and greatest will be nicer to have and ride but it's going to become old very quickly if you constantly need help to get it on the roads.
  20. Those 18650 batteries are very common and easy to come by. I bought 6 the other day for some lights.
  21. Thanks, I will check in the morning. We can also chat about the steady rack you need
