  1. I can echo that sentiment for many bands. It's as if they become less appealing after a chart topper.
  2. SPOILER ALERT So I intentionally stayed away from this thread and the like to avoid spoilers. I only just caught up on the last 3 episodes in a row and as you can imagine. I did myself a HUGE favour. It was like watching Fight club, Usual Suspects or 6th Sense for the first time. You'd think that we've become accustomed to that old plot twist by now. Like we'd see it coming a mile away. Subconsciously brushing off any suspicion like nah, the writers won't do that again. But they did. And in doing so 'again' they probably deserve greater praise for fooling us with an old bag of tricks. Maybe a week or so ago I changed my profile signature to the lyrics of Pixies' Where is my mind. Probably a day or 2 before episode 9 aired. (I checked) Purely co-incidental. I was playing some old music a few days back and the song just...struck a nerve. Imagine for a moment my PROFOUND appreciation then when the last episode ended with this https://youtu.be/4NZdggNUvq0
  3. Till you try and actually climb onto one. I tried. Someone had to teach me
  4. While I tend to ponder over whether my ability will do any justice to the bikes capability. What you say is very true. I wonder if LBS's would sell models any quicker if the bikes they had on the floor was being featured in videos on display within said store. Wanna sell more oneforty650's? Put a monitor above this bike in your store and have this video on loop with a tiny disclaimer scrolling. The bike you see in this video is the same bike on display. But the rider is not you. Its Theo Erlangsen.
  5. I love this! Man it looks so..mmh..whats the word..Arcade? I'd be like wearing my baseball cap to the side and challenging people to a dance off.

  7. Jislaaikit boet sorry to hear. I've only had the wolverine on the back for a few weeks but I am sold. Mostly hardpack stuff but I have tried to make the back slide out (previous issues I had with rear tyres) and it just won't give. Its fast too. But mine is on a novatech hub that doesn't spin for days like my previous dt swiss did so I don't know if I am really noticing it. As for the front. Running a super tacky 2.5 minion for a few months now and I am yet to see missing knobs or considerable wear. Its heavy though. Also skinny for a 2.5. I think its softer than the 3c compound if i'm not mistaken. Grippiest tyre I've ever had. Not as fast as the highroller but she has some nails that girl simply won't let go. Also 26
  8. That's a rather bold statement. I know its been re-imagined and there have been several reviews. But I've only read reviews when used as a rear tyre. I'd like to know which bike and the kind of terrain. Also just how much you misbehave with it on the trail.
  9. Dammit Deon! That post provoked more anticipation than watching the Superman vs Batman teaser. I can't wait.
  10. haha, I hated that! When ever I was asked to join for a mast mission I just rolled my eyes. Swimming on a hot summers morning vs sweaty selfies at a reception tower. Its a no brainer for me. In other news I found my halflid! Its going to be a full face free summer for me. Damn getting excited thinking about riding up there this summer. Can't wait!
  11. I was never one for hiking. But I loved my swim in the damn after riding up there. I'll wait till the end of the year.
  12. Within the context of this mornings news. This is quite funny. Edit. pay back the money

  15. He's also not the only one that can sabella
  16. A friend of mine is looking for a cylinder head assembly for his HONDA-VTR-1000-FIRESTORM. Hoene tanne apparently. Anyone in here able to assist by pointing me in the right direction? Trying to avoid importing. So if there is anyone in SA who might have a lead, some contact details would be awesome. Thanks
  17. I doubt whether I will actually carry anything. But I have considered it. Still do. If I do equip myself with anything, whether I would actually use it in any given scenario is another question all together. I guess it would depend on the situation itself. To me, its only common sense to just co-operate and live to tell the story. The risks involved are too great. The consequences could be catastrophic. There's no telling what might go wrong. BUT. Do we just roll over? Because if we all adopt an attitude where we constantly allow criminals to do as they please things can only get worse. I'm not suggesting a solution nor advocating the use of weapons either. I'm really on the fence about this. Because every time a criminal gets away with this sort of thing. The more frequently we will see it happen.
  18. The irony is that zocchi's pending demise is probably because their aren't enough bikes that oem their stuff. Really a case of 'Too little too late' here. Trusting a new bike manufacturer with your money isn't a choice many riders will dive into headfirst too. Zocchi parts might just be the nail in the coffin but I certainly hope not. They have an entire new line of bikes though. The Rodeo is also priced quite competitively at only $3600
  19. And in the left corner weighing in at only 13.3 kg. All the way from Chile. Making his debut, The new Gravis Rodeo http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb12473372/p5pb12473372.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb12473377/p5pb12473377.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb12473375/p5pb12473375.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb12473374/p5pb12473374.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb12473373/p5pb12473373.jpg http://montenbaik.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/geo_rodeo.png
  20. I feel the same way. But a big part of me feels like these bastards need to be taught a lesson. Or they will just continue attacking people.
  21. Last week I had a chat to some random okes at Blackhill and i heard rumors about riders taking precaution by arming themselves for rides. It seems people are gatvol of being targeted. So how many people actually do this?
  22. on episode 6 of Mr Robot. Its frustratingly good. There's something about the way the protagonist narrates the series. Reminds me of the way JD Salinger writes. He is not telling a story to the audience. He is speaking to himself. An extraordinarily intelligent, socially anxious, borderline schizophrenic, manically depressed, drug addict struggling to navigate his moral compass as he tries to change the world behind the persona of someone who just wants to fit in. I only fear that a plot premise as compelling as this one might hold the writers back. It can only continue to be this gripping if the world really does sink into anarchy because of his actions. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/NFE_portrait/2015/04/mr_robot_fuck_society.jpg
  23. That was a french line! Hahahahahaha I was looking for his preview this morning when I stumbled upon the course pics so thanks for posting it. He was booking too! Just love it when he pretends to panic and get all hysterical only to laugh it off. Must be such a fun oke to ride with.
