  9. did the 58 k's last year. Good luck going over Groot Brak climb Undulating route with some wind thrown in for good measure. Enjoy!!
  10. Can recommend the Johny Koen group ride, great bunch of guys and sometimes gals, and a tester of a ride with some mean undulations. Rode with them last year this time......... Good to get to know the local knowledge from Johny Some great MTB country road rides out that way too... sad to miss out on it this year
  11. searching online in Jan 2010 for the Medscheme team list for the year, and stumbled across it. havent left yet been fortunate to learn a whole whack about various things I didnt know has made me spend toooooooo much money though met some great people through the hub, and also realized there is a few people I hope to never meet
  12. the sad fact is its been proven here by a few people that they cannot control themselves and they obvioulsy have no respect for anyone.... that is why this has become necessary. I agree with a previous poster that said, if you dont like to be "controlled" in this manner, take your pie and waai. If these people had the manners, respect etc in the first place, it wouldnt have gone this way. Good luck with the task at hand Admin. not going to be easy - hub is unfortunately infested by some cockroaches
  13. not good
  14. uncalled for comment bpayne........ at least she has something to be proud off, and that is enough for her. What does it matter what you and others think of it or how you rate her achievement.
  15. Successful completion of 2nd year of year round training. At this stage just over 2000k's and 100hrs up on last year's total milage and saddle time. Got a Pinarello this year Race wise it was a mixed bag with some really good one's and unfortunately a few crap one's. Completed 25 races, entered 25 Seeding improved from about 18 to 10 (top 82 in age cat, down from 350+ at start of the year) Hoping for amongst other things, this in 2011 - Panorama Tour - DC - 29er
  16. have you tried phoning the person. ask a couple of bike related questions...... you'll soon find out what's cooking. If his knowledge of bikes is anything close to his grammar skills, I'd just forget about it.
  17. nice try its the umpteenth post on capies complaining about their riders....... maybe in gauteng we have given up complaining?
  18. http://www.actionphoto.net/order.aspx?pgm=2
  19. my man, I think if you have been on the hub for as long as you have you will know a thing or two about me. I hardly ever bitch about an event, In fact I always try and see the positives and crap people out for being negative and always bitching etc... So I suggest you do a search under my name and have a look at my posts. Then comment again. I have no intention to speak to the person in question. I merely commented on what was said about this particular persons comments before about certain topics. Him and I have had our moments in the past and in life it is just a fact that not all people will get along. Such is the case here. I have never ever questioned him or anyone else's cycling ability, questioned results or even slightly hinted in any way that he or anyone else for that matter was guilty of xy or z. So please dont try and pin me for something that I am not guilty of. And for the record, yes maybe one day I will meet him and we might even iron out our differences. Life's too short to hold grudges etc. So go back to and see what I posted on this thread. To make a sweeping statement such as you did that I am hiding behind a keyboard......... go check my profile, you can get all my details there. This whole thread has made a lot of people very nervous and I have heard lotsa stories about vets and sub vets doping and you know what I have never said anything about it on here, because its just that hearsay. Nowhere in this thread did I say this or anything vaguely suggesting it.
  20. I wont comment any further. My posts had nothing to do with anyone/any teams ability vs my own. Further to that both WH and myself are still here......
  21. gotta agree with that one Willehond !! But at least he got someone to speak on his behalf. someone really close to him
  22. You have a lot of guts to come on the hub and openly support Cyclelab. I agree with you fully, but eish you gonna get a lot of flack from the clever bunch out there........ best you go into hiding for a few days
  23. for me the warmup before a MTB event is even more important, specifically as the starts are fast and unlike on the road there is no rhythm or opportunity to roll out for a few km's. Ok I know some races do start on tar or wide dirt roads which will make it similar to a road start, but in general I neglect the stretching thing - unfortunately.
  24. I have similar issues, I try to get to the race venue early enough to have time for a 45+ min warm up. Normally just ride out and back if possible. On training rides, just factor in the warmup as part of the ride, so when you want to ride for 2hrs, just add 15 mins or so for a warm up..
