  1. I think its pathetic that the organizers can even open entries before a route has been confirmed with City. I feel so sorry for the guys who have committed $ and training time. I can only imagine the hours and hours of suffering that everyone has been put though. Tough times for Mr Kunneke that's for sure, but with all due respect, he sewed the seeds now he can reap the rewards. Really puts RSA in a bad light and that's uncalled for.
  2. Agreed. Fail to prepare and prepare to fail, simple as that. Schmucks! and to think that all those athletes have been training the @sses off. Not right hey, just not right
  3. On the topic of chains. Is it possible to run a 10 speed shimano chain with a sram quick link that comes apart? My understanding of the 10 speed quick link is that once its in place thats it you cant remove it. I have the 9 speed quick link on my mtb and it works a charm and want the same system on the road bike. Any ideas?
  4. That's the most revolting thing I have ever seen.
  5. Fair point, but that aside the unit has zero downfalls.
  6. The RS800 (which is top of the range) does'nt work in water. You can start the clock etc but it wont pic up your HR. Apparently the new polar (not sure on the model) works in water. I do triathlon and have the RS800, to be honest you really dont need to know your HR whilst swimming. That aside the watch is fantastic especially when you use it as a multi sport watch with the shoes and bikes etc. Wouldn't change mine for the world. Another positive to Polar is vitality points. I went from silver to gold just by uploading my exercise files onto the internet. Pretty easy!
  7. Buy direct from rush sports next time. Not that expensive. The morewood hangers seem pretty bullet proof
  8. Shew didn't realize weight mattered so much to you
  9. Cant see why that wouldn't work. Thats the angle which would require the most amount of chain length, so it gives you room for error.
  10. Its a personal choice, like choosing a saddle, what works for you may not work for me etc. Personally I LOVE LOVE LOVE the capestorm nitros bibs, by far the comfiest pair I have, even compared to my assos they far better, but that's just me. Also they are fantastic value for money @R1k for the top end nitros. I also have a first ascent bib, the chamois is OK, nothing to write home about but the stitching is not the same quality as the cape storm and started fraying pretty soon after I bought them. I know they have a return policy but if the stiching goes after such a short period of time one has to wonder about them. My 2 cents, capestorm the whole way.
  11. Nice ride this morning with Chubba to the bottom of Suikers and back.
  12. Shew that's a technicality. Well spotted though
  13. I agree with CPT Mayhem and XTC. If someone attacked me like that on Twitter regardless I also would have treated them badly. The way your ranted on Twitter was not the way to handle the situation. There is no substitute for human interaction. A phone call or a u turn would have sorted your problem out in no time. Sorry you got shnyed some bucks though.
  14. Nice ride today Rydogg Chubba, Specilaized & 9109 you were missed Until Thursday for the hill session Peace
  15. I went past CWC on the way back from a client and played with a few bars. The FSA compact seem to be the way to go, they felt REALLY comfy in the drops Any idea who the agents for FSA are?
  16. Could be one of three things 1. You have bent your hanger/derailer 2. The cable is too tight and needs to be loosened a little via the barrel adjuster (unlikely) 3. Your H setting has somehow jumped out of wack and needs to be reset For all of the above go onto youtube and read the how to repair tutorials on the parktool website.
  17. Thanks chaps Appreciate the feedback One last thing, which bar design is the easiest to use the controls (brkaes, gears) when in the drops?
  18. Would this bar be classified as a compact? Ritchey call it a curve bar
  19. Maybe your HRM lost your HR for a few minutes or you fitter and therefore your heart did less work. Its dependent on your heart rate and weight so you should compare average HR and weight to each other and then compare. Guaranteed your ave HR was less than his or your weight is less.
  20. Thanks AndreZA I think its between the ergo and the compact design. Some manufacturers like ritchey call it the curve. Like I said I'm looking for the most comfortable bar in the drops. Best bet is to find a shop and play with a few I guess.
  21. I'm considering getting a new bar for my road bike and wanted to know if anyone who has used both alu and carbon on a road bike, can feel a significant difference in terms of vibration absorption etc. The primary reason though is that my current bars which are the classic shape don't feel to comfy when in the drops, so I'm looking for something that I can spend more comfortable time in the drops like an ergo/curve bar.
