  3. The first thread in the history of the bike hub that something else wasn't suggested other than what the OP was asking about and then OP gets something else. Love it! 😂
  4. Pop me a DM if you'd like to repair your Garmin with a part CNC machined in Tokai.
  5. If the only difference is the 120mm travel. If you go with the 100mm it might only be a matter of removing a spacer in the fork and shock. R5000 saving @droo will know the answer to this.
  6. Post a link to the ad please
  7. In the same way that a seller can ask whatever price they like for their bike. The buyer can offer any price they want. That’s how an open market works. Don’t take it personally and rather view it as the starting point for the negotiation, because that’s probably what it is. I definitely prefer a low offer and a conversation than the Is it still available? followed by the ghosting,
  8. @Brawlerdm'd you contact deets of someone that should be able to answer your question on stock

  14. not trying to be funny, but have you asked your lbs? my local has been great with pricing, most of the time its better than online pricing.
  15. which one has the higher number of sales?
  16. Fox 34 or Pike I found the sid ultimate (with 35mm stanchions) less rigid than a Fox 34. Whether it was in my mind or not, I'm not sure, but it definitely felt that way. Maybe Fox 34 SC vs Sid Ultimate?
  17. Agree with this, but there are other factors. Technique (weight the front of the bike and leaning the bike over) and type of tyre (DHR should grip more than a recon race). Probably others I can't think of right now. I've also found going too low on pressure can result in the tyre rolling over and not getting the right support from the carcass and the knobs not being in the right place when the tyre deforms. I run my front pressure between 19 and 20 psi.
  18. Personally I'd swap these around. The forekaster should give you more grip on the front than the recon race. I've used this set up for xc riding.
  19. If you have a buddy with a 3d printer... https://www.yeggi.com/q/brake+pad+spacer/ https://www.yeggi.com/q/shimano+bleed+block/ and if you are in Cape Town DM me
  20. Check out the Early Rider bikes. Their 16 inch bike is listed at 6kg. I reckon suspension forks should come a bit later, learning to pump the bike and get a feel for creating grip is better with a rigid set up. Also most of the "suspension" forks on the kids bikes are super heavy and are just a spring with no damper. We went with the Merida Matts + for my sons 20 inch. Ticked all the boxes... hydraulic brakes, clicking shifters and not the terrible grip shift that is specc'd on kids bikes, lightish weight at about 9.5kg. Its a very cool bike, he loves it.
