  1. haha the last 2 comments are exactly what was said when the news of 29 inch trickled through
  2. There’s someone on the hub that has quite a bit, not sure what his username is, pm your number, I’ll send it to him.
  3. How did you find this! 🤯
  4. Their new big.nine hardtail looks really nice
  5. I know there's always that one guy so sorry for this... If I had R17k to spend on a wheelset for a rim brake bike I'd sell the bike, add cash from the sale to the 17k and get a disc brake bike. This is coming from someone who feels going to carbon wheels was the single biggest upgrade I made to my road bike. The reason I think it felt like such a big improvement was the ability to go wider tyres with lower pressure, something that might not be possible on a rim brake set up. For reference I'm on 40mm rims, 24mm internal width, 30mm tubeless tyres which inflate to 33mm.
  6. Slight delrailment… What prep do you guys do when popping on a new chain? With Shimano I’d wipe off the shipping grease. I used to fully degrease but I read that it’s better to keep the original lube in the rollers. Any different prep from Shimano and sram?
  7. Same here, this thread had me checking my deore chain and it needs swapping out. Picked up an x01 this morning. Hoping I’m not going to miss the hyperglide smoothness. Let’s see
  8. I agree with Bob, there’s something about well made local products. Shameless plug.. For a well priced option, I’ve got some new Nextie rims listed on the classifieds, they’re really good and at a super price 😉
  9. was the first thing I thought when I saw it 😆
  10. Pinkbike called, they'd like their comment back 😄
  11. What @MORNE said. Its also worthwhile quickly checking (it literally only takes a minute) that the b limit is set correctly. Shift into biggest cog and check that the largest tooth lines up with the line on the back of the derailleur. https://www.google.com/search?q=b+limit+m9100
  12. Looks like they copied the new epic
  13. Enjoy the new bike (I've seen this movie before)
  14. It’s either 1 photo and old card or 2 photos and copy of id
  15. ☝️ what Brett said. Check out the classifieds for some m520's, these look good... https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/pedals/653275/shimano-pd-m520-mtb-pedals
  16. In the last few years I haven’t had the “you have to have your bike with you” rule enforced when entering Cape Point or Silvermine. If you’re concerned about it, just take your helmet with you because you’re meeting your friend who’s bringing your bike on his rack.
  17. I'm always surprised when I see people rating Tygerberg over Tokai. Quality is better than quantity.
  18. I’m working on a mount CNC machined out of aluminium. Hoping to have a prototype going this week. Pop me a dm if you’re interested.
  19. If it was me, at that budget I’d be looking at aluminium, there are some solid options at that price point. As mentioned above the top fuel is an excellent bike, I rode one in Tokai for a year and it’s super capable, definitely look at changing out the fork though (I’d do the same with the cypher you mentioned). Other options I’d be looking at: Marin rift zone 2 https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/dual-suspension-bikes/646729/2023-marin-rift-zone-2-brand-new Merida 120 https://bike-addict.co.za/products/merida-one-twenty-600-2023 Good luck with your purchase and enjoy your new bike ✌️
  20. You need to work on your google skills 😂 https://www.google.com/search?q=prologo+saddle+distance+between+mount+holes
  21. The bike industry and standards
  22. Prologo 54mm M4 thread Specialized 60mm M5 thread Disclaimer the Prologo info is from the internet. The Specialized info I'm sure about, I'm making a mount and did the measuring myself.
  23. 🔥🔥I love that bike! Maybe a very far in the future project
  24. Thanks! This is a nice simple design and probably easier to machine. I prefer not to have thing’s attached to my bike with o rings or elastic bands though. If you actually want one I think I have one in the box that my garmin came in that you can have.
