  13. Is it possible to buy/convert cash in your discovery transaction account to discovery miles?
  14. A happy Friday thread! Well done @117 💪
  15. Firstly, awesome that you are taking your son mountain biking! When my boy started on trails which wasn’t too long ago, we did fairy garden going up and then back down. It’s a nice manageable distance from one of the parking options depending on his fitness, arboretum (not sure if you’re allowed to park there but people do), picnic site or bootlegger area. Riding fairy garden gets him on to real trails and will give him a sense of accomplishment. He’s riding on the real mountain where his dad rides! I also found being encouraging and not in a rush to be somewhere afterwards helped everybody have a fun time 😄 You can take the lets just go a bit further approach or ok you’re feeling tired let’s ride back down we can go a bit further next time. Kids have right of way on the trails, everyone who comes across us is super encouraging and patient, it’s a cool vibe.
  16. If you know this fact, surely you know the speed limit law. This thread feels slightly trollish 😉
  17. If you insured an ebike under all risk and the motor or electronics developed issues, would this be covered?
  18. Yes. Source: National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996
  19. well that's one way to get me to click on the article 😄 The beauty of "gravel" is that it varies from tarred roads to single track where you question whether you should be walking or not.
  20. I opened a discovery bank account to access a travel benefit. On the phone I was told the R20 per month account gives you access to benefits and not the free account. I don't want to use the account for anything other than miles d day and travel discount. Is this correct or can I use the free account?
  21. Pretty much this ☝️ If you're buying a bike do your homework. Even if its from a shop. The sales guy might not know better, or worse, know but lie to make the sale. Surely this happens? It can legit be confusing, the new Tarmac is a 2024 model, that you can buy in 2023, 2024 and probably still in 2025. In an ideal world seller should say something like 2024 model purchased in 2023 or whichever way it happened. If it matters to you and you want to be absolutely sure what you're buying, ask for a pic of the serial number and contact manufacturer.
  22. That’s great to know. So contact Assos in Switzerland seems to be the way to go here.
  23. I did get in contact with the retailer who contacted Assos South Africa. As the damage was clearly due to my error and not a defect they offered me a 10% discount. My mom stitched it up and did a wonderful job. Thanks mom! 😄
