    Cool will look for you.
hopefully they sort out that burst pipe, been running like that for more than a week.

That thing has been like that for a few weeks hey. Some days it runs a bit slower(today was a bit more than most days). I think it is water from that big tank in emperors grounds. But it's only like that in the mornings, when I go home it's dry. I think it has been an issue for years though, I remember going to garden of lights years ago and had to park on the pavement near that tank and the ground was so water logged that a few cars got stuck.

Did my usual route past your ex employer this morning and realized how much fitness and strength I’ve lost.
need to ramp up the training.

Still my employer for 1 more month, Last day is 15 September. This time next month I will be waking up unemployed, looking forward to it. I will look out for you, I am still getting to work between 06h15 and 06h30.

  3. A little bit of rain has never worried us South Africans.

Those were the most nails biting 4 laps of MotoGP history for me. When VR46 was 3rd I was shouting to stop the race there and then.

    BB33 was sublime.

With like 7 laps to go I was convinced MM was just playing with the Ducati and would just sail passed on the last lap.

Will also add my positives to using the Varia.  Only downside is the battery as mentioned and it also seems to drain the battery of my Edge 520.  4hr+ rides I start to get low battery warnings,

What is your egde backlight set to? I also found that and someone suggested to me to change the backlight settings. I found that mine was set to come on 100% every time something changed. It basically never actually went off. Changed the settings and my battery life on the edge went up to pretty much the same as before I had a varia.

  5. A helmet that fits your head is definitely a must. I currently have a kask, Louis Garneu and a Giro and all 3 fit differently. The kask is the "nicest" ito the price but fits my head the worst of the 3. The LG was a little bit less expensive and came with a lekker light that attaches to the ratchet at the back which is nice for added visibility. The Giro fits me the best and obviously has a decent crash warranty(I am not sure how many other brands offer replacements these days.), it is not the range topper like my other 2 but it's still towards the higher end so was slightly cheaper than the other 2.

Why 3 helmets? Because 3 different colors and I also have 3 different color pairs of shoes so they all matchy matchy.

EDIT: The Kask holes are lousy to store your glasses. I have to hang my glasses on the back of my shirt. I often need to store my glasses so holes that are well placed for that is a must for me.

  6. Given the OPs user name and the previous Carte Blanche history on grey imports, it must be a chinarello. Until the OP actually tells us the brand(I don't buy this hypothetical nonsense, unless they purely want to up their post count), I will consider them to be Tom Pidcocks bike that he created alongside his sponsor.

That makes me want to get back on a track, even the concrete track that was the only one available in our teens and twenties. Weird oversight that those wings rotate backwards.

It has been bothering me since day 1 of the track stuff at Olympics. They all like that. Imagine how much faster Ganna would have gone if it was facing the other way.

    #blessed

That's why he pushes to keep Bottas, like an abused spouse he has given up the fight and now does as he is told hoping for reward somewhere along the way.

LOL, Be careful about using abused spouse references, Patrick Lefevere got into trouble for saying something similar about Sam Bennet????

PS. I couldn't be bothered to make my italics pink to replace the missing comic sans.

Stroll/Bottas swop rumours running strong. Really doing everything they can to avoid Russell getting a decent Merc, strange. Almost like he is being blocked, by a top driver.......

I also saw that rumor. Silly season summer break with all these rumors. But we all know a certain "top" driver will do everything in his power to win and he seems to have a lot of pull.

Same organisers (if I remember correctly)

So that might also be a bit of a dilemma.

    On a positive not.
    14 August.
    Rooiwal is back!

Lekker man. I think I'll go do the meals on wheels, 2 weeks after rooiwal. Will wait till 99 to decide on the diamond one.

How is the front of the rail secured in? Is it also popped in? or possibly a cover that is easily removed? I had a saddle many years ago where the rail was easily removed by taking a cover off under the nose and the rail just slide out from the back.

So like this, that little cap can be un-screwed and removed.

  12. This is a difficult mail to send – but it is with great disappointment that we have to cancel Berge & Dale 2021.

Despite all our best efforts to bring you an epic cycling event in 2021, the reality is that it is simply not feasible to stage a sustainable event when participant numbers are currently so severely limited.

In addition, there are just too many uncertainties around how new COVID variants will affect South Africa’s lockdown levels in the coming months.

As promised, all entrants will receive a refund. All Online entries will be refunded back onto the card with which you originally paid. If there are any problems we will contact you directly to arrange the refund.
Please allow us at least 10 days in order process and complete all refunds.

We don’t know what the rest of the year will hold, and the past 18 months have taught us that we can’t make any promises. What we can promise you is that we will do our utmost to help bring cycling back to the community when the time is right, and it is safe for mass participation events to return in full force.

Meanwhile, keep on cycling and stay safe and healthy. Let’s work together to bring our events back.

    Best wishes,

The Berge & Dale Organising Team

  13. So for once, Mazepin wasn't the result of him crashing out. Shame man????.

It was actually an exciting race imho. Fernando is a legend. Not only did he provide some of the best few laps in many years fighting off Hamilton but the way he gave Ocon his moment with the team before congratulating him showed respect and maturity(which you expect from a 40 yo????).
Ocon may have been lucky at the start but he did not put a foot wrong the entire race. He soaked up pressure from an ex world champ for 70 laps. He definitely deserved that win.

George finally getting points for Williams but only to score less than Latifi, ouch that must hurt.

Can we add rain to all the races.................

Yeah I did thanks. All I did was find the wiring that connected the LED I currently have, and then split that cable wiring the new LED into it too.

Ours is permanently on or off so no idea how you'd go about introducing a timer into the equation.

Thing I don't like about permanent on or off is, if these okes know you have an alarm they can easily see if its off.

Anyone have any experience / knowledge with Texecom home alarm systems? I want to wire an LED into the system so that I can see when the passive sensors outside are armed. There is already an LED that does this visible from the driveway so you can arm\disarm when you leave or come back. But I want another in the house so I can tell when we have armed the sensors that cover the garden.

Thought it would be relatively simple as all I have to do is replicate the LED already wired in but looking at the panel its beyond me.

I have tried google/youtube without much success

    Did you come right?

I want to add a LED to my system(Different to yours-DSC) that I can see from my driveway because when I arm/disarm mine I can't really hear the flipping siren in my roof. Everyone in the car needs to keep very quite but then even the birds prevent me from hearing it sometimes and if it's raining well then I just push the button and hope it is on or off. BUT I don't want the light visible all the time. Ideally it needs to stay on for like 5s after arm or disarm. I am not sure if this is possible and if it is I am not sure I will be able to program it.
