  1. There is a possibility of this procedure happening in my not to distant future. Who has had this done and how is life afterwards ?
  2. I'm not a frequent flyer but I've also seen them in pretty much all the cockpits I have checked out.
  3. luckily not but the seat covers do look a little dodgy. We flew both fights with the same plane. I Checked out the planes history while waiting at OR Tambo. Its a Boeing 737-800 registration number ZS-ZWE. Its first flight was in 2015.
  4. We flew down to Cape Town last week with Kulula. On both flights the pilots and cabin crew was really friendly and helpful. It was my daughters first time flying and they even let me take some pictures in the cockpit.

    RIFLE

My 1301 Competition has fired roughly 800 rounds without a single issue. It's an awesome shotgun and worth every ZAR I paid for it !
  7. My well worn Michel Herbelin.
  8. That's a Hairy comment !
  9. The Schumacher documentary was really good and I enjoyed it very much. The majority of it covers the start of his career up to when he wins his first WC with Ferrari. Then a little about his his retirement and accident. They should make a sequel about the rest of his WC wins, his retirement and his comeback. Those were great years to watch Formula 1. I Know everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I Respect that and never get involved in fights and arguments on that subject. For me Shumi is still the GOAT.
  10. I Got my bike finished yesterday It's a Raleigh Mustang frame. Shimano 105 groupset. Ritchie handle bar, stem and seat post. Although it's a gravel bike it's going to be used as a road bike (having the option to fit bigger gravel tyres if I change my mind) The frame, partial groupset, crank and brakes were all purchased from fellow hubbers. The complete bike weight is 10kg's. Not very light but not to bad considering the tyres are 35C and using Conti Tour 28 tubes.
  11. Hi everybody. I Know this question has come up and has been discussed a couple of times already, sorry . Can you guys give me some advice for mechanical brake calipers. They must be post mount (MTB style). I Have a set that is flat mount but I don't want to use adapters and spacers and stuff and stuff........ The set that I have is actually for sale or swap if anyone is interested. Here is a peek of what I'm busy with
  12. This is a late birthday gift from me to me. And since this fred is still here........... Spyderco Police 4 FRN (lightweight). The standard version has black handle scales and VG-10 blade steel. This version was recently released with blue handle scales and uses Bohler K390 tool steel for the blade. This is a BIG knife ! For reference, the cylinder bore of the engine block it is lying on is 105mm.
  13. I Hope my wife never sees this caravan Excellent work

  15. 30 km's east of Middelburg. The winter is upon us but there is still some color out there.
  16. I Discovered a crack in rear rim of my OneTen a couple of months ago. I Decided to ad some color to make it stand out a bit more. I Also decided to do a custom wheel build and that is where the color started. Orange........hubs, rim decals, grips and frame guard. My wife says it looks weird but I love it !
  17. I Finally got my new wheels built Nox Composites Teocalli 29 rims. Hope Pro 4 hubs. Pilar double butted spokes laced 3 cross. Udo at Bikeworx built them for me. With rim tape and valves they weigh in 1772g. Oh yes..........32 holes
  18. Glad to see I'm not the only one who watched it like 574 times with my daughter. Who was the pilot again, Kowalski or Skipper ?

My friend hunted this Eland last weekend. I Tagged along for backup The carcass weighed in a decent 287kg. He used his CZ 30-06 with ammo loaded by himself with 180 grain Nosler Partition Bullets. He took him down with one perfect heart shot.
