  1. OK, but in that context the OP is allowed a full refund as it was a faulty product. This is where the CPA comes into play.
  2. About time. The other week I felt like getting out of my car and pimp-slapping some roadies who felt it was their right to stop in the middle of the road at the incoming hill into Somerset West.
  3. Yeah big up to Jason. Always nice to have a rep presence on any forum.
  4. Nowhere in the CPA or any other thumb-sucked law is buyers remorse covered or rights bestowed on the consumer. CPA covers quality of goods sold. Now a place like IC have a refund policy in place to keep the client happy as it costs them thousands in advertising to get you into the store and they know by trying to be difficult with you is not going to help them.
  5. For me the software is the weak point as I'm happy with the hardware but if I had to pay full RRP, I would not be so positive about the product. EDIT: Oh and I'm a web developer and very much understand what went wrong with the loading of my trip tonight. Not acceptable and it comes down to bad code.
  6. So like many Hubbers I bought the Bryton 35 on that Groupon specia. Tonight I feel like smashing the software with a virtual hammer of Thor. Was all excited to get back into the saddle tomorrow morning after a very long absence - fire up the Bryton software in IE10 on Windows8, plot my route for tomorrow and bam, its all gone. When will they fix their software .... aaarrrggghhh And yes, I will get a Garmin when I get some money again.
  7. Condolences to the family
  8. Cannot wait to find a pack. Best chips ever.
  9. I upgraded from square taper to external this year - it was like buying a new bike. Got an SRAM crankset with bearings for R1K from my LBS. Oh and you might just want to ask your LBS how much to do the job unless you want to buy two sets of BB tools. The square taper tool is about R120 from Sportsmans and a good external BB tool about R200 from a good LBS - check CWC
  10. Not forgetting how he cycles up to Jozie for the weekend just to do the 94.7
  11. I'm going to miss this one as my daughter is visiting me for that weekend.
  12. Great as I often buy from them. Also now with their COD orders I find that if I order the morning before 10am, they do same day delivery in CBD (EDIT: You will see a lot more items on Takealot coming soon. When I went for a job interview with them earlier this year they reveled their strategy and thats to become the next Amazon. A one stop shop to buy all your goods)
  13. But yet your the only Hubber we know that can physically wear out a frame from ridding!
  14. +1 Helmets don't prevent accidents, they only reduce the probability of head injuries.
  15. The error happens on restricted items like childrens toys (a stupid US law) and when buying from sellers on Amazon.
  16. FRAIL you have good intentions but with those out there in need its not possible to always give. Please continue your good work but do not get frustrated as each "No" is one closer to that "Yes"
  17. Its very stable and M$ got it right for a change. I'm not a M$ fanboi but I will give them credit as it seems they have eventually broken their 2nd release flop cycle.
  18. I upgraded the wife to Windows 8 and so glad I did. I'm very impressed with where they are going and they did a good job. The tiles work better than I anticipated and being a developer, I understand M$ intentions for using them. I love the social aspect of Win8. For those that care: You can take up the special offers upgrade for Windows 7 Starter. Just fill in the online form and wait for your promo code. Cost me $14.99 to upgrade wife from Starter to Win8 Pro. I was also impressed that the Linux and Grub was left intact. All the apps on the Windows 7 install worked after the upgrade - did not have to reinstall a single app. Going to do my laptop tonight.
  19. Just watched it. Enjoyed it even though the end was a bit cheesy, the wasted a wonderful opportunity to have a kick ass climax - was too disney like. But wife enjoyed it as well and is safe enough for the kids to watch.
  20. Its good enough for the Drifta
  21. I think your HDD does get formated. A M$ upgrade often requires a clean install
  22. I want to build something like this but with bluetooth streaming to the phone instead
  23. Thats instore, you can buy online from M$ for about R350
  24. Not bad at this price but at full RRP I would still go with the GoPro Hero 3 at R3K. Keep in mind that GoPros are often used in the film industry, can the same be said of this unit?
