  1. I still want to do this one day but our yard is too small, so going to need a Mr Bean car
  2. +1 A product is only as good as the rep behind it.
  3. I can only remember my ID number and UNISA student number. I sometimes forget my own cell number. Don't know wife, home, work, our business, daughters, ex-wife, dad's, etc at all. This bit me one day when wife left me at Oak Valley and drove off with my phone. So now I have a secret URL on the interwebs with all the telephone numbers for ICE situations
  4. +1 I'm going to make a dash cam project with a Raspberry PI later this year (internal office tech project) that will also have a rear view. One the reason is so I can post pics off these guys on the web and call them out. I like your idea of stopping a chatting to them.
  5. PS3 is free to play online, XBox requires a subscription. Could be they are using someone else's subscription or they purchased an annual subscription. I have both consoles and only use my PS3 for online gaming because of that.
  6. @OP you just started a religious debate. The Church of Lube is very hotly debated on the Hub. So let me preach my belief, wet lube all the way. I find not to use too much and to give everything a good scrub down after every few rides. Also wipe the outside of your chain, your not suppose to lube it anyway. Use to use White Lightening but it did not last for a decent MTB ride.
  7. This thread made me laugh, tomorrow I'm going with my son on his Grade-R school outing to the Good Hope Castle and I'm expecting a lot the OP talk and its going to be painful as I'm one of the few rooineke pappas.
  8. So nice to see you all playing as friends again A good mate of mine was the first judge to sit and rule on the new harassment case (literally hours after it became law). From what I understand is the law just broadens the old narrow definition of harassment and is not a nanny state law. So from what I understand we can still be our normal Hub self on the forums, biting each other as we all do but if we are going to start with aggressive PMs & phonecalls that any reasonable person will interpret as harassment, then it is harassment.
  9. And they guys at work think I'm looking at new glamour content for our clients (we sell glamour content to mobile users)
  10. Its possible the feed used can effect the taste.
  11. TIA: since when did our thieves get enough on their high school report to be able to use Endomondo or even facebook
  12. Actually Hellmutt ... ok, its a Hub joke
  13. Proper spinning bike will start at R7K with a heavy enough flywheel, an IDT can be sourced for under R1,5K. I'm also considering getting an IDT as I'm struggling to find time, but I remind myself when I posted the same question here on the Hub that everybody said its great at first but it all ends up gathering dust. Consider getting yourself some decent lights from Extreme Lights or Pyro Lights - works to make you more visible in the day, and allows you to train in your neighbourhood at night.
  14. The problem is you cannot convince these people otherwise. I always believe that by being proactive and setting an example, I might actually influence somebody someday to also start wearing their shell.
  15. I looked at the paint and it looks like the same they use for MyCiti. This is also why they are just testing that spot first. Very visible and not slippery - I drove there this morning and my little cars tyres did not skid or squeal even while turning sharply on the paint. What awesome is I will be getting access to the report for Somerset West on possible new cycle lanes. That is very exciting for me.
  16. Yet the historic DA supporters in the Cape are actually in the minority - it is all about voting for the DA and to show others what the DA can do when given the authority.
  17. Perhaps the day roadies start obeying the rules of the road and use robots and stops as they are intended might we get motorists to change their attitude. I see as many cyclists break the law as taxis.
  18. Wow, would love something like that for commuting.
  19. No parent should ever have to bury their child. His death kept me awake last night as my sister also passed away at 25. Keeping his memory alive is the best gift we can give to his family.
  20. A #twibbon is available in memory of Burry Stander at: http://twibbon.com/s...burry-stander-2
  21. I would like to remind Hubbers that these threads naturally become a wall of remembrance for our fallen riders. You guys have truly done that and have kept this thread in the true spirit of The Hub and in memory of a great South African.
