  1. You get 3 generations of antihistamines and only 3rd generation are non-drowsy. 3rd gen are the only ones prescribed for chronic medication (I'm on them) and they have zero side effect. The only difference between my chronic and non-chronic pills is that chronic is slow releasing and lasts 16-20hrs where normal is 8-12hrs. A good one is Fexaway120 (Fexaway180 is chronic). Been on it for 4yrs now and first thing I buy at month end. I've got a rather tough commute in the morning and keep in my HR in 90% zone for 70% of the commute and not taking my medication reduces my performances. Also antihistamines on their own are not 100% effective if your got preventative asthma like me, I need to still take a preventer each morning. Actually thats asthma, and I suffer from this problem when the pollen count is very high especially near your misses work for some reason.
  2. Thats what I call XTR fetish art porn and not some smut ... damn that XTR crank is seriously jizzable
  3. Its called commuting
  4. I also had problems till I learn't how to use Wet Lube. Wet lube requires a clean chain firstly, then you need to apply one drop on each roller followed up with a wipe to make sure you have no oil in the outside plates. You need to clean your chain regularly - a chain scrubbier is a must. Since then I've no longer had any issues and will only switch to dry lube in about 3yrs time once my Finish Line has been used up.
  5. Sounds like Wet Lube in general
  6. Hoe op om profiles te compare - once you hit Helshoogte your not going to give a rats ass about it anymore, instead your just going to say "I understand why they call it Helshoogte"
  7. +1 I use to also struggle till I did this and never had problems again. Switched to Crank Brother Candy X earlier this year and very nice pedals, now I'm back onto Shimano and can honestly not tell the difference if the pedals are well maintained and properly setup. Also check your cleats for play and that they are correctly mounted on your shoe.
  8. Best tyres I've had on tar and good enough for riding on hard pack - would not want to do a wet Oak Valley with them.
  9. I loved my Continental Town & Countries, 1.90 so not a true slick but at least I used the same tubes. Tough as nails and when I puncture a massive hole on the road (think it was a large nail/screw) the tyres stayed on the rim and I was able to safely stop (I was doing 50km/h on a downhill)
  10. Buying a proper cable hose cutter is important and they cost under R150 from Builders or Sportsmans Warehouse. You will use it once a year but it makes life easier. Another handy tool is a valve core remover and these you get for R15 from your hardware store or Autozone. And then after that just buy when you need it. If you really want to buy in advance then get a cassette remover and chain wip, you can get them as a set for R200-R250. And if you don't already have one, then get an Alan key set. I use one of those foldable ones that I keep on my bike.
  11. Hey, you could still run IPCOP on that - heck, I ran IPCOP on my Old 100Mhz P1 and only retired it once I got an ADSL router.
  12. Always 3 4 sides to the story and the media will only take the one is going to come up with their own one thats going to sell news.
  13. Thanks guys, will keep my eye open and if I should buy a roll I'll sell the excess here.
  14. Thought it was a post from David ... yeah, speak to FRAIL, knowing him he would sommer ride up to Bloem just to meet you guys and keep you company on your way down.
  15. But these days he likes to play Mr Pod and report on parked violations on our beloved cycle paths, so that would only allow him about 100km
  16. LOL ... I'm not David, 84km round trip before supper is a bit too challenging on my 8spd, perhaps when its 9spd I could join David for a quick 200km warmup cycle before breakfast
  17. Chris, just wanted to compliment the courier company Fastway, the courier guy is really friendly. So impressed with them we will considering using them for my wife's business to some local deliveries.
  18. Thats the best part. Also I compared prices to CRC and Chris came in Cheaper if only by a few randts but at least I can finish my upgrade today and not have to wait 3-4 weeks for my parcel from CRC. Would like to see CWC also increase their online store catalogue, don't expect him to be the next CRC but he could add a bit more variety.
  19. Big thumbs up to CWC and his courier Fastway - just got my new cassette and chain and now the upgrade can commence.
  20. I once came back from Stellies one Saturday night after too many drinks at The Garage in '97. Also no helmet, no lights, etc Came around the turn before the caravan park (opposite the airfield) on the R44 and hit a would be bike mugger - I was drunk and swerved into him. Hit my head hard on the ground, recovered my bike and cycled another 15km still drunk but now rather dazed from the fall - that was the last time I ever cycled a bicycle both either drunk or without a helmet.
  21. I upset a couple of guys on another forum when I made the statement that helmets don't save lives. Its not a factual statement but more a mindset one must take when cycling as you cannot always rely on your helmet when your in a pickle. But this photo once again proves why we must wear one.
  22. CWC online is just too easy and makes my life so much less complicated. Just phoned my LBS to get a price on a 9spd cassette & chain so I can complete my 9spd upgrade from 8spd - prices not bad but cash is limited this month and need to train for the Die Burger MTB. Check CWC and yeah!!! I ordered a cassette & chain with delivery to the office for less than the cheapest cassette at my LBS and they saved me a trip Go Chris !!!! I've now ordered more from CWC than CRC with this order
  23. Easy, get rid of the cat first
  24. I got some yellow tape on my motorbike and it was 100% effective and thats why I was wondering about white & red. I know you get it, just not so sure about its availability in short lengths.
