  1. Bad Banks is pretty darn good, couldn't help but quasi-binge it. It tells a lot of good stories within the 6 episodes without feeling disjointed or unsatisfying as each arc seems to come a conclusion. One review calls it a female-lead billions they've been waiting for. If it's a show that's batting for female leads, then it didn't do it as crassly as some/many of the american shows. It's just a good acting by the lead. I hope there's a season 2. Now that i'm done, looking forward to the next installment of Body Guard. Show's hotting up nicely.
  2. yo, that's hot! well done!
  3. what's the gist of it? Still being romanticized as a some bizarre right of passage, or are they taking this seriously, to the point that concussion protocols filter right down into schools of all levels?
  4. like that 'fork', even the right hand side of that stereo is missing something.....
  5. don't be too hasty. it's very good.
  6. The First. Even though it's a show premised upon man's first travel to Mars, and set in a fairly futuristic, but easily relatable society, the focus dramatically, and intensely more on the human aspects of the preparation. Sean Penn is is casually awesome. It's all too easy these days it seems, to overwhelmed by dizzying cut scenes and wave of wave of CGI'd hyper action. So it's really great, almost refreshing, when a show foregoes its genre to the extent its clearly a supporting role instead of the focus.
  7. unless you've actually ridden the new lyriks, your statement is hopeful at best Against a shorter travel Pike, i wouldn't disagree with you, especially if someone gave me back my 66 bomber. But the extra travel on the lyrik does help a lot. note: referring to ride experiece wrt heavier riders. the new air spring is one of the best value for money upgrades in a damn long while.
  8. Just came back from maiden ride following a small upgrade to my lyrik: the new 2018 air-spring. It damnwell works! Fork loaded with 3 tokens and air pressure around 95psi for some context. Off the bat, a stationary pump of the felt seemed to suggest the initial travel was easier to initiate. Out on the trail, that initial increase in plushness was confirmed when a lot of the trail chatter I've previously felt, was very much subdued. Consequently, you go quite a bit faster as the bikes handling feels more controlled. Ever since the new rockshox internals were announced along with the new lyrik, pike and boxxer, I've been vacillating between air spring only, and a full internals upgrade, including the charger 2 damper. Rider reviews indicated not much tangible improvements via the charger 2 upgrade, but all reviews of the air spring only upgrade were very positive. It's legit. Lank cheap upgrade (<R1k), so great value for money. Shout out to East City Cycles for procuring and fitting.
  9. Shooter season+series finale. Sad as heck and with a clear nod to the movie. Always enjoyed the show. Each ep felt like a movie. Cheers Swagger. it'sbeen legit!
  10. BBCs Bodyguard. pretty damn good. Some intense scenes there Started a german series, Bad Banks. It's story seems to be premised on the events leading up to the financial crisis, but from the european side. Very interesting from the get-go.
  11. a genuine swing bowler. that seam is like a rudder. few fast bowlers of various speeds get it that right, much less swing as he does.
  12. caught my interest, but haven't started watching it. Any good?
  13. IronFist S02 was actually damn cool. was abit disappointed with new seasons of Jones and Cage, but IF S02 delivered, especially that last ep. netflix you suck. that ending deserved serving up season 3 right then and there!
  14. lolwut? I use the armafloor on my countertops as well. Works very, very well. Love how it doesn't yellow the lighter woods like maple/birch.
  15. Rystix armafloor (interior) an armadek (exterior), both are water based. The solvent based one RB is referring to could be the Interior Coating, which I see is solvent based. They also have an Exterior Sealer, also solvent based.
  16. oo shots fired. how shall the Neanderthals respond.
  17. Meowww! hand bags at dawn and it's only Tuesday. Where's that low carb popcorn...
  18. i really enjoyed that game back in the day. didn't get round to later versions with a more futuristic storyline though. heard it was sh1t3
  19. tom Clancy's Jack Ryan. It was interesting enough. Once in a while, a major script hole kind of spoils the flow of the story. Apparently, Season 2 already being minted for release in 2019. I'll bite on that. I hope that mega gorgeous 50yr old Cynthia Preston makes another cameo. Wow. In similar vein, started BBC's Bodyguard series. Another series beating homeland security drum. So i expect some form of race'aphobia with a whiff of bodycount. The brits do have an interesting way of telling a story often in counterbalance to their cousins over the Atlantic.
  20. looks almost as if he was trying to annotate the pic all those green and red lines. So mysterious..
  21. any bosch fans? I see Bosch north america is running a competition , offering 2000 of the new bosch combi drill+driver with both modes driven by impact. They call it the "freak". Do any of the local bosch fans know if and when that little monster is coming to our shores? edit: ok. this seems to be a rebranding exercise of a pre-existing model of impact wrench/driver for half inch sockets and quarter inch bits. The rebrand however is underpinned by their new Core18v battery packs. meh. somewhat deflating, but i'm still keen on upgrading from my current impact driver. Love that thing to bits
  22. While I do appreciate there are cases out there where the manufacturer stiffs the end user by not honoring warranties, each case must be taken on it's merit. Therefore, on what facts of this particular situation are you basing your position regarding what falls within the warranty?
  23. I'm curious, and i hope you respond, as there's no right or wrong answer: buying a bike is never a moral dilemma. But how come have you discounted the fact that riding in a manner that does not violate the warranty, is perfectly safe on this bike, for both the OP and the rest of the world? If you are not exceeding the maximum rider weight, where is your actual concern then?
  24. Given your handle and avatar, I find your helpfulness rather suspicious
