  1. Not a cent, the army paid and top dollar for busses in such poor condition i would gladly have swopped for the old Bedford.
  2. Not on the same scale but corruption did occur prior to 94. One i recall from the army was being ferried around in private busses contracted by the army that a few Generals were directors in.
  3. Saw a lot of the Lions rugby players at the gym today, quite a number had power balance bangles on Perhaps they trying it out to see if they improve
  4. quote name='kempo' timestamp='1289984960' post='1223085'] . If you don't believe it work, take one through a metal detector. I had to take it ff at the airport because it set the detector off... Large metal earings will also cause metal detectors to go off, however if you only wear one earing your head will pull to one side and you will be off balance.
  5. Thanks BigH They can keep the cradle, either majority of the cyclists there are rule breaking misbehaving misfits or the residents are stuck up w (rhymes with tankers)
  6. Me and thousands of others are going to do just that this weekend, i'll even cycle in the fast lane just for fun
  7. Not as much as sports such as cycling but are tested quite regular, both in and out of season.
  8. The means cannot justify the end, this culture of resorting to thuggery even if it means innocent people are affeceted is not on. Why is it that this only the cradle residents resort to this type of thuggery. Take the races in Vereeninging, there is practically 1 ever 2 weeks on far busier roads but i dont hear of residents there resorting to ambushing cyclists. 2 weeks ago we rode part of the 94.7 route and there were 100's of cyclists, at 1 long uphill section the road narrowed making it impossible for cars to overtake us, the motorists sat patiently until it was safe, we thanked them with a wave as they passed us and for that we got a hoot and a wave. I suppose we were fortunate none was from the craddle. By all means flame cyclists misbehaving but dont lump all cyclists into one basket.
  9. If we played like we did the last 2 games against the Irish and Welsh we are dead cert to get a walloping from England who have upped their game since playing in the 6 nations.
  10. Yup thats a good call Wannabe, Kino has asked that anyone affected get hold of him.
  11. Most likely whoever did it has logged on and read this post and got a huge grin pn his face. Whoever it is does not care whether its a cyclists that obeys the rules or not, they just want cyclists to stay off "their roads".

Speak to the guys at Finish Line cycles based at Glen Acres shopping centre in Glen Marais, they have both road and MTB rides. If you are intending on doing more than 2/3 races a year then it best to take out a lic, alternate you can buy a day lic for each event.
