  1. This was the year I was really going to enjoy. Working from home since last year I really though I had it all covered with the big screen TV not far from my desk. Olympics. European championchip, Giro, TDF, Roland Garros, you name it. But noooo ... then came this little bug ..... f..t
  2. There is simply too much football to watch I only start watching with the big games. Just in Germany there is 3 leagues.
  3. There was some wind that ensured I did some ammering
  4. I was very glad for Bayern. To think that by November last year they were pretty much in the gutter with their previous coach when Flick took over. Before Flick took over they even lost to second league teams. To come back and even get players like Boateng to perform at top level again says something about the coach.
  5. LWB, any indication as to what they going to do with the fleetß How many aircraft are planned and what aircraft will be used? Since many of the lease aircraft having been returned. What is left? Those thirsty A340-600 that nobody wants to buy? I see they were out flying last week again btw.
  6. Just shaking my head here. When is the business rescue plan going to be announced for SAA?
  7. Those new aircraft being returned to Air Mauritius?
  8. Anybody know what the status is wrt Comairs business rescue?
  9. Went on a long ride to Lake Ammer. Wife went through late by car and we met up for a coffee/beer and then the return leg. Did not take any pictures on the road back as rain caught up to me and tucked phone in a plastic bag to stay dry. Eventually had to cut the route short as the original plan would have let me down a little pass that got soaked and going down there with wet brakes just did not appeal to me and took a dry route home.
  10. Looks like Kings Highway bridge?
  11. Is this in Australia somewhere?
  12. Actually they clean up pretty well. Littering is becomming more and more a problem especially on the hiking trails in the mountain. Locals are getting more and more irrate with the city slickers comming and littering the place. Last night they were talking about how littering became more of an issue with Covid19 as more people went hiking/walking and produced more rubbish with it. Currently Germany is spending 700 milj Euro a year on rubbish removal and cleaning.
  13. Sounds very much like a classic case of Stockholm syndrome
  14. On very short notice did a short ride to Lake Starnberg with the mountain bike with a fellow Saffa yesterday Some very rare pics of me riding my mountain bike.
  15. My normal reaction is to wave to that person as if he is a long lost friend I have not seen in ages. You can see in the mirror the looks of confusion and wondering if they actually don't know you. But I must admit today some guy in a flashy red Ferrari had something to say and it felt rather good to look back at him at tell him "Kiss my @ss you idiot"
  16. Surely CAA should charter an aircraft and crew to do the ILS calibration in the mean time. It could take ages before a new aircraft is bought.
  17. Not asking for a friend. I have a sticky 10 kg but I am more worried that with this diet I will end up trying to stay with the racing snakes to smell their arses.
  18. Like him. Just don't force him to wear a helmet. Always made good input.
  19. Some pics of my morning ride before I start my working day. Did a quick loop to Lake Starnberg.
  20. Like the old lady who wanted to commit suicide. She read that for a woman to shoot herself through the heart she needs to shoot roughly two finger widths above the left nipple. The old lady shot herself in the knee.
  21. OR Tambo is not the only airport ... https://www.facebook.com/Eon.de.Vos.CRM/posts/3321325217926524
  22. And surely aircraft would still be able to land visually without ILS as well? It would just be a problem in bad weather to land without an ILS from my understanding. It has happened before that the ILS at Jburg was not functioning and if there was fog, aircraft had to divert to other airports. There was a joke many years ago that Lufthansa was diverted to Mafikeng. Due to the German pilots not understanding the ground control at Mafikeng, the 747 parked at a wrong spot and was too close to a lamp pole. People could not get off the plane cause the only staircase on the airport was malfunctioning. Couple of hours later the fog cleared at Joburg and the Lufthansa could hop back to Joburg. Only problem is the 747 was still parked too close to the pesky pole and the only tractor to push back the aircraft was ... guess what ... kaput. So they had to reverse thrust out of there. Some seriously ticked of pilots that took off there.
  23. This so looks like a Windows95 Wallpaper
