  1. I agree! It seems like all cops go straight for the bribe now. Dumb@sses!
  2. Sounds good! Well done!!
  3. Glad you had a good ride! Even though roadie is my main focus I also did a nice two hour mtb ride this morning! Great to have a relaxed ride off the road!
  4. One reason why I don't use bombs. A pump is much better!
  5. Google it. I remember seeing a few bike size calculators around on the net. Just have your measurements ready.
  6. And now you have another option it seems - Maple Syrup!
  7. I was thinking the same thing! It is hilarious! Thanks for the laugh guys!
  8. On my Edge 500 I got 1189m. Love my Edge 500!
  9. Doesn't matter what it looks like, the important thing is how it rides! Function over form!
  10. Nice pics Air and Trubie.
  11. Sies Oom!!!!!!!!!!!! That was not a nice thing to do!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Yeah, Just before the N14 on ramp he tried to sneak through on the right and where we turned left-right he almost took me out. I have seen him a few times but not too often. But we probably do all have our off days.
  13. Contact Ha Ha Kieran for a set of Gipiemme wheels. Good prices as well. Definitely strong contenders when looking for wheel option I think.
  14. Nice bike!! Also not too fond of the bar tape though.
  15. Is this from experience? You referring to the rugby player whose gf's mom got hitmen or something. Heard some people mentioning something like that recently. It is better to just pay the duties at the end of the day. Or you could end up worse off.
  16. Yeah, saw that. I was just behind Mike and Jay. Was nice to chat a bit before the start though and during the race. The one Jose Cuervo rider (don't know his name) puts his rubbish in Jay's pocket. Yeah, great bunch. We had to ride the whole way together! That was funny! And none of the organisers realised it until most of A pointed it out!
  17. The front of A was quite jovial at the start.
  18. You don't need to qualify. The thing is that to the higher bunches it is a normal race just like any other and those riders have more experience since they race more often. The problem comes in when you get the fun riders who just do Argus and 94.7 and who don't have the experience to ride close to others in a bunch. For their training they ride alone or with a friend or two. Now you putting them all together in a bunch for the race. They just want to enjoy the vibe and a day out on the bike. Their riding simply doesn't give then that experience so they don't know any better.
  19. I agree Scooterza. In A bunch we had a guy with a pony tail. Just after the exit to the N14 someone in the bunch shouted at him something along these lines, "That is about the 25th time that you have done that this race and soon someone is going to take you by the pony tail and throw you in the bush." This same pony tailed guy almost took me out at the left-right just before the on ramp to the N14.
  20. I understand what you saying Cycling Major. I have also experienced a few like that. This is a generalization but from my experiences the men, in general, seem to ride a bit more considerately than some women, in general. The women just ride, the men indicate.
  21. I think what Till said is a bit more believable than what Bellairs said. Having them close together would get teams to race both and be logistically better for visiting teams. It would then be much more attractive and possibly be more inviting for overseas teams.
  22. Go for the SRAM!
  23. Looks great! Thanks Admin.
