  1. Yes, people do seem uncertain. They hesitate when it is safe to go but due to their hesitation when they finally do go it cuts it very fine.
  2. Heal soon Sean!
  3. I agree. For some reason I find the taxis less problematic than other cars. Middle aged men in 4x4's are the worst I have found. As to the poll I would say 3 and 4.
  4. Awesome! Glad you having a good time there. When I was at Paris-Roubaix in April I chatted to some guys from America, UK, Poland and a few other places. As far as races go SA is actually very good in terms of the number of races that we have compared to the other countries. Something to be thankful for.
  5. To mess that up? Look at stage 2 of the 2011 Tour. Full time and he may mess up the whole thing!
  6. I got a nice winter jacket for riding when I was in Germany last month. Good price as well since they are now into spring/summer.
  7. MTB'ers scared of a few lions now? Chances are they won't win.
  8. I agree. They ultimately did but they also did their time and are hopefully not doping again. Unlike Tyler. He goes straight back to it. Also WTF dope when you know you going to get tested for winning?
  9. The one by TNT1 I included above. He doped, luckily avoided a ban, doped again, got banned, doped a third time, got banned and then retired because of it. He just kept doing it. No different to Ricco. Cycling does not need people like that in it. If you want to respect and admire a doper/former doper then chose someone like David Millar. If I remember correctly he doped, was caught, said he was sorry, served his 2 year ban and is back riding. I have heard he is quite outspoken now about anti-doping. Some bedtime reading for you: http://www.cyclesportmag.com/features/david-millar-interview/
  10. Well it seems like murder and rape are part of SA culture. Take corruption then. The government plus Metro plus SAPS do it. Would it be "all ok" if some of them came out and said that they were corrupt and they are sorry? Should we all sit them down and give them beers? Doping is wrong and it doesn't matter how many did or didn't dope. Innocent until proven guilty. Landis and Hamilton doped and were caught. They eventually confessed but that does not make it "all ok". Read some other post. Hamilton then went and doped again after his ban. Look at Ricco. Would you have a beer with him if he also told his whole sob story?
  11. I agree with Eldron. Using that line of thought (that because he confessed makes it all ok), what about some guy who rapes and murders your wife? He then comes and says to you that he did it. You going to sit down and have a beer with him and tell him it is all ok because he confessed?
  12. Constitution means squat. In order to be enforced it has to go through the legal system. Things like that bypass the legal system.
  13. Awesome! Can't wait for the final pics!
  14. Aaah, I can only ride Sunday though. Enjoy it.
  15. Which day are you doing that? Where you wanting to ride from?
  16. We in A bunch caught a huge VB bunch. Was chaos from that point until Chappies at least.
  17. A 2:50 for me. Was a good ride.
  18. I took the leap from Ultegra to Red in 2009. Red is extremely precise and fast shifting with so little effort and finger movement. With the pic of your bike Red would just finish it off nicely! May you continue to enjoy SRAM.
  19. Looks great! May you have many wonderful and safe miles! About the saddle, I recommend a Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbono Flow. Very comfy and no numbnuts.
  20. Excellent! Congrats to both of you!
  21. I also saw a New Horizons rider in A that had a B number. Though I do think riders starting ahead of their groups is a problem at every race.
  22. Yes. It all comes with experience. The more you ride in the bunch the more your confidence grows. The best way to learn is to do.
  23. Thanks for the great race everyone. Organisation was very good as was the marshaling. I think starting A infront of Cat 3 was a good decision.
  24. Looks great! May you have many happy and safe miles! Of course the S-Works Tarmac SL3 is better. (Just for Skaap)
  25. I agree Witkop. The more you divide and get too specific about something the less effective it can ultimately be due to having to "work with" others which increases the time to get something done rather than "work within" an existing framework. A portfolio or sub portfolio would be much more effective. Soon we will have the white mens union, black mens union, coloured mens union, white ladies union, black ladies union, coloured ladies union etc etc and for all to co-ordinate and communicate will be a slow and nightmarish process and ultimately nothing would get done and each would blame the others. Also if you have a separate ladies union then where does the division stop?
