  1. Is the dark wood not Blackwood? Also, that is “gelooide” riem, it stretches and sags and ends up being a bit uncomfortable. Ideally the should have “rou riem’ (rawhide).
  2. Well done. Shoot the phuckers. ( In self-defence, of course)
  3. New serial number. Bigger, stronger numbers. Winning, always winning ????
  4. Left pedal in right crank, right pedal in left crank. Add brute force and ..voila!
  5. Only thing to remember about sealant i that it works best when it's inside your tyres. Having 40ml in your tyre and a bottle of the stuff in your cupboard ain't much use. A few grams of extra sealant ain't muc compared to the weight of your bike as you carry/push it home with a flat.... I guess that I put about 3 of those little Stans bottles per wheel (buy in bulk and use the little bottle to put it in through the valve). And keep it topped up, yes that too
  6. Just come across another one. Broken at 18 of the holes. Both drive and non-drive sides. Rider well within the weight limit.........
  7. Hier in my kontrei noem ons dit "fyn brag" You could have stopped at 100km and gone home, your hands and fingers would have been fine. Otherwise it's North Road bars for you, young man. (aka Sit-up-and-beg)
  8. At all costs avoid the gross social disfigurement of a discoloured chainstay ???? I’ve seen that more than once, I suspect it may be due to “off-gassing” from the neoprene or the velcro affecting the paint. Can any paint/chemical boffins shed more light on this ?
  9. What about finding out if there isn't an existing organisation doing similar work and join forces with them? Avoid duplication? Good luck.
  10. Marty McFly tells the truth, but he didn't go into too much detail about how or why he got the splinter..... ...but I'm sure it will be an entertaining story. Maarten, out with it.
  11. I will happily do business with any company that responds directly to my queries! Thanks Andrew #howtobuildbrandloyalty
  12. ???? good to hear they being used and not lying in a box! I was thinking of adding them to my Peace 9r which has Avid Arch Rivals. Thanks anyway
  13. Do you still have those Ultra levers? I have plan for them if you do????Trade for something?
  14. Only online or are they at shops? You have PM
  15. Yeah, thanks, I forgot about that. edit: spelling
  16. 1. Keep the sealant topped up 2. Don't let the tyres go flat 3. Keep a track pump nearby. .....That's all.
  17. Agree. But if they force you to give info, give them garbage. Path of least resistance.
  18. When I built up our Mercer tandem, I did the same. Two 9spd XT cranksets on the right driving the Rohloff. This was after lengthy consultation with various engineers. Apparently it’s better/ stronger having both on the same side. Apparently the convention of having the timing chain on the left has to do with there not being space for a triple chainring plus a timong chain on the right? Anyway, 2x9spd bulletproof XT cranks on the right works a treat. Anyone else ?
  19. There’s an English word for that, it just escapes me right now.....
  20. That’s a name I haven’t heard for a while. In about ‘96 we wre collecting rocks from the site where they were going to have their airship base. Geologist mate of mine saw the rocks and got and instant hard-on. Yes, Kimberlite. Don’t ask me what became of it
  21. Not any more. I saw the postman had them on his bike this afternoon. He looked really chuffed....
  22. Not long before we start seeing these, alcohol and what they call “barbecues” in Youtube/Darwin Awards
  23. Unless you're navigating and need to know distances, what do you want with all that info? Get on you bike, ride, forget, ride some more.
