  1. I was wondering about this, its insane the amount of knowledge they have on the chateau's, scenary, towns etc. Do they study the stuff before each stage?
  2. Avg speed of 31.25km/h! That is very fast for a x country course?
  3. That does not look right, and by the way your derailleur is "bending" its not going to last. Dont use the big gears together.
  4. I guess you are talking about the chainline on the drivetrain? I had the same issue on my Zula, ended up converting it to a 2X9 that was before the days of 2X10.
  5. Lanklaas so knop in keel gehad!!
  6. Hahah i got her message aswell.
  7. Very nice! Got myself the kulhavy olympics red/orange one.
  8. yes but its a piece of plastic. (if its that see-through one you are talking about) you will sweat a lot in that thing.
  9. What hardtail is it? Sorry if it was asked before?

    My new 29er...

    Very nice bike, enjoy!
  12. How much did you wish your guard was sitting a few cm's lower?
  13. I think the shops name is cape town cycles. Its that shop that is in the industrial/warehouse like area in I think its brackenfell. They might have moved they are now somewhere in Durbanville.
  14. Shame mr fuzzle can we have a fondsinsameling for you to buy new tyres? Those tyres saw the world!
  15. I'm using the sram type 2, will never use any derailleur without the clutch again, I will go with the XT with the clutch.
  16. Joh, this must be heaven...... All jokes aside, how do you think a trip like this will be for someone with a hardtail/4inch travel bike (which is by far the majority of people on the hub), obviously you wont do big jumps etc, will it be a waste of time and money?
  17. I use the sworks flat bar, there is definately some flex on the bar not much but some. And it does feel different to an alu one, cant say it about any carbon bar I'm talking about the sworks flat bar 700 or 740 mm not sure about the length now. If it was not strong enough the best mountain bikers in the world wont use it. That is now for x country and marathon riding.
  18. I wonder what Mr Morewood say about this?
  19. Man am I glad I did not buy one, was very close. Those things are so expensive and then it does not work....
  20. Pity you are not in cape town I would have give you some for free.
  21. I used Catrol LHM hydraulic fluid in my shimano brakes, it worked perfectly and still does after about three years now. my LBS told me to buy that, much cheaper than shimano mineral oil, and I think its basically the same thing?? Its definately not corosive like normal DOT brake fluid.
  22. This talking about oil get me worried now, Johan i have a whole bottle of fork oil 5w, boutht it a motorcycle shop but I want to use it on my chain aswell since its a nice thin oil, will that be fine, cant see how it will not be fine but just making sure.
  23. But why does this happen. I would rather think that DOT fluid will damage a rubber seal than mineral oil.
  24. I want to say typical roadies!!!! but I would rather not.
