    BULLS BO!!

isn't it the refs decision to send people off ? How many of you would get off your bike in the final sprint on the Champs-Elysees (ok just IMAGINE you were good enough) in the TDF, just because you may have switched someone ??
  2. THE MAN!!! P.S. I 2borrowed" a copy of that pic if that's okgianni2007-05-22 09:36:09
  3. aah that was cool the good old days when we are more innocent and no one spoke about drugs (cause only the really rich dudes used them )
  4. friend had the same query when he bought his new Specialized (don't know which one, but it is made of recycled oil waste). our LBS called them and asked if it was ok to use it on the trainer. They said yes. Of course if you DON'T have a Specialized it may not apply gianni2007-05-22 06:15:27
  5. what a load of horse s.... There would be a HUGE amount of seriously pissed off people all over the world if that was true. Everyone would be difficult and and no one would talk to each other Can you imagine how quiet the Tour de France must be with 200 talented riders in it...........
  6. I think he plays for Bermuda....
  7. I'm for moaning whingers to leave.....
  8. While I get what you're saying, I disagree with your assumption that the quota system caused the CWC team to loose. A lot of the guys playing in the CWC should be playing bowls. They've been playing so long in the team I can't remember who was in before them. My first reaction when seeing the WC team (as we don't get much SA cricket here) was astonishement that some guys were STILL in the team. The SA team lost to Auss because they just weren't mentally strong enough to handle them no matter what the macho men said a few days before that and NOT because of a quota system. SA's "story" so to speak is unique and whether one likes it or not people ARE going to be affected by the past for some time to come. The quota system being one of them. Was being left without proper housing, heating water, schooling fair ? It may not be fair but it was to be expected. If the shoe was on the other foot people would be saying that the quota system is wonderfull etc etc Don't forget that politics exists in every countries' sport and I've seen guys being left out of national teams here (in Ireland) just because his / her father said something 50 years ago that one of the officals didn't like, or being left out because you come from a specific area of the country and the selectors don't. At least we're ALLOWED to compete against the rest of the world now....
  9. I've been told by a lawyer that these indemnities we sign really mean nothing if you can prove gross negligence on another rider or the oganiser's side. Same as the "At your own risk" signs you see anywhere really. If someone does something really k@k stupid or reckless and causes you personal injury or loss' date=' you can sue them irrespective of these notices. [/quote'] of course a lawyer is going to say that...that's his job = $$$$$ Here in Ireland insurance costs cripples anyone who wants to try and put on any type of event. People are too scared to even think about doing anything in case someone sues them.... PLEASE don't tell SA is going that way too now.... gianni2007-05-17 15:34:42

  11. why does everyone resort to praying for these people ? will they magically become more sensitive and punch someone a little softer ?? just lock him up...preferably with a guy called Baba or even better take his licence away and force him to cycle to work and back for 5 months, preferably in peak traffic.

  16. we recently had a 3 day stage race and one dude suffered the following: 6 punctures (1 after 20km on stage 1 and he "caught" the bunch after a 25km TT @ +45km/h) given a wheel with a junior block broke 2 spokes just after that punctured that same wheel at the same time as breaking the spokes the problems were of course that he was riding 20c tyres (which in fact he wasn't, he was riding 23c) The point being...at least his excuses were so over the top they COULD have happened I think he may have cramped too............ I won't go into what happened to him last year, or the year before, or the year before...................... gianni2007-04-24 06:11:11
  17. What was the total race distance and how do you cramp after 50km ???
  18. So what...just because they do it, it's ok ? I'd much rather see Piet Pompies beat Paolo Bettinin fair and square. Basically the riders and organiser are calling you iditiots and you're paying for it too..... Just doesn't make sense and by saying it's ok you're perpetuating the whole stigma of cycling as a sport of cheaters. Whether it's fixing results or taking drugs...no wonder the sport is declining.
  19. Which Ergomo version do you have ?
