OK so i feel like a b****ch. I just spoke to Engela and i want to publicly say i'm sorry cause i should have gone to her first and not let my short fuse/bad temper/general badness gotten to me but i could not help it!! SO SORRY the idea was not to make her look so bad! The girl is trying to promote ladies cycling and as she is my friend the whole mess has been sorted out!

Scotty, i agree races are too short but that is the organisers fault not the riders! At least teams like Minolta & Excell try to go overseas a few times a year!

DT = Idiot. Let me make it clear. US: Unpaid riders doing it for fun. THEM: Riders being paid over R300 000.00 per year. Conclusion: If organisers place cars & other riders/funriders in your way to make your sponsors giving you this R300 000.00 per year then i would also be very unhappy! Getting injury: CANT RIDE: LOSE SPONSOR: LOSE MONEY BIG BIG DIFFIRENCE

I still feel this is the organisers fault not the riders and i'm sure everybody agrees! Narra, you're actually right! Bring on the funriders in that case!

I get the idea that the Ride for Sight want to work towards getting as big as the Amashova/94.7 etc. And it definately has the potential! How many of the big races like the Argus etc have short routes?

MTN Microsoft is the most Professional outfit in this country! Malcolm had every right to be angry. If one of their riders gets injured and can't ride it is a disaster for them. Anybody getting angry with them has obviously never been in a adrenalin pumping race winning situation. This has happened so many times and it is shocking that organisers JUST CAN't GET IT RIGHT!!! My husband was standing at the finish and heard the organisers saying the short distance is going to cause a problem but they weren't trying to actually make a plan to fix it. If it was me i would have acted MUCH MUCh worse, i personally think it is because of things like this that Malcolm is retiring and it will be a LOSS to the sport!!!!

I have to just say that i allways try to be friendly so i will try this tactic for another few races and if my charm doesn't work i will have to see. And Oom H you'll be surprised but i am not really a big old dragon with fire spewing out of my mouth every time it opens i am usually actually very nice!

Thanks for that info Francois, i totally understand and i know somebody has to do the job but if you see certain people race in and race out with their lip dragging on the ground giving cyclists uphill about the smallest crap then i get angry!
