  1. Wheels are also different but then these are easy to replace, Bridge Cycles CC?
  2. Thanks for the clarity
  3. Looks like Cav is off to Israel Premier Tech for at least 1 more year
  4. How can this be justice? Six years. Should be min 25....
  5. True for you WC people. Not so much for us up country folk
  6. What a waste IMHO. The whole reason you do CTCT is for the scenery which only starts once you hit Muizenberg as Morne said
  7. Terrible news. Here's hoping that he found.
  8. Seeing where this post has gone in terms of comments, I really respect those hubbers that have admitted to having inner demons and who have worked hard to keep those demons in check. Albeit not being easy. With there still being no leads with regards to this coward, part of me wishes that he will one day be on the receiving end of what he did to me, only 100 times worse. That said, and knowing that I am the better person, I really hope that this guy (should he be following this thread_ Which I am sure he is) takes heed from what some of the comments have said, realizes that he has major anger issues and seeks help before he does something with more severe consequences.
  9. Interpretation on the Insta post.
  10. Just read on cycling weekly that she has abandoned the attempt. Such as shame considering all the logistics etc leading up to it. Says she will be back to try again.
  11. One can only hope.
  12. Logic would say yes as why else would my ask to the group initiated such an action? That said, it is a question that I have played over and over in my head many a time.
  13. Unfortunately, there are still no positive leads. The coward is still at large and hiding behind anonymity. I am slowly having to come to terms with the fact that this guy and his supposed friends/cycling buddies are all cowards if they are keeping quiet. Yes, there is still that glimmer of hope that one day is one day that guilt catches up with one of them and they come forward. The unfortunate reality is that this may never happen, and I just end up being another statistic. While the physical scars are healing (thanks to the awesome work of Dr Johannes), the emotional scars (both me and family) are far from healed. Weekly counseling is indeed helping. As a lot of you have mentioned, there are plenty people walking around with very short fuses and are on the brink of snapping, but that still does not condone the actions of this ........ As I mentioned previously, this guy was solely intent on one thing, and nothing, in my mind, would have changed that. PS: @Danger Dassie here's hoping the Tri Guy/Gal does the right thing and owns up to their wrong doing
  14. Still yet to tackle mine😜
  15. Article in News 24. Don't subscribe so don't know the details: Porsche driver clocked 130km/h when he crashed into cyclist André Piehl, report finds
  16. We used to have a holiday house that part of the world. If you are looking for a longish ride, best option would be to follow the R340 (Prince Alfred Pass Rd) for an out and back along the banks of the Bitou. Would involve a short stint on the N2 but at least there are decent yellow line areas to cycle in. Depending on where in Keurbooms you are staying, a shorter option is to ride the Keurbooms beach rd (P0394) to the village. Then head up to the Cell Tower (Game Str into Pinehaven Rd). Back down the N2 for a very short stint and left onto the old rd that brings you back down to the bottom. PS: Thyme and Again farmstall makes some awesome homemade pies and decent coffee. PSPS: Enricos for sundowners and prawns.
  17. It would be useful to those in the know, if you would say what the bike brand is?
  18. Nice vid. Thanks Big kuddo's to the guy with one leg (about 3.45 mins in) What happened to the last few kays?
  19. Looks like the timing results are a bit screwed. A number of finish times that way inside of the Elites finish time. Some with avg speed > 200KMH eish. On a more serious note, see that so far there are only 8900 odd finishers. That seems way down on the supposed 15000 odd entrants?
  20. I would also keep an eye out at the Cash Converters behind the Honeycrest Centre
  21. Black Friday Special??
  22. You and me both
  23. For me it was just a fun day out. Stopped in Bryanston to say hi to my folks and then a stop in Dunkeld for a coffee. Unofficial time of just over 3.30
  24. Number collection was quite easy. Expo on the other hand, a complete waste of time
