  1. Thanks Wendell for a brilliantly organised event. Weather played along brilliantly and the track was superb.
  2. Hoping that both cyclists heal up soon. RIP to the MTBer.
  3. A GPS!
  4. The bridge at Alberts will be rebuilt. A longer and straighter version is planned and work should commence in the next couple of weeks.
  5. Looking forward to this. Wendell, will there be food/colddrinks/coffee available? Why you not riding NSBB?
  6. Very nice Boris! Glad they eventually came to the party after all the hassles with the WRX.

    Gloves for Gravity

Been using Fly MX gloves bought from Full Throttle. Reasonably priced and have lasted.
  9. Covered in this topic https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/133565-team-fedgroup-itec/
  10. I hit that milestone last year!
  11. I actually watched that TopGear episode last night. It was a very much tongue in cheek spoof based on the old English "public service" announcements that were quite prevalent in the 40's/50's & 60's. What I found fascinating though is that there were extremely few incidents of car/biker anger whilst they biked through the streets of London for over 3 hours. All taxi/motorists where extremely polite and gave Clarkson & May plenty of space. The only problem they encountered was with the buses whose drivers couldn't have given a toss about the bicycles.
  12. You got me on that score Better start acting my age
  13. Hope will be bringing out a 40t rear chainring later in the year.
  14. Funnily enough, I'm looking at going the other way on my CX bike. I currently have an Ultegra short cage road derailleur with a 11-25 and I want to put on an 11-36 cassette with an MTB RD because the Ultegra doesn't have enough tooth capacity for the 36 (or so I'm led to believe).
  15. Going to be my first one this year.
  16. Glad you're ok. Possessions can be replaced, a life can't!
  17. Correct. Imagine if we all withheld our hard earned ZAR's from SARS.....
  18. Correct me if I'm wrong but my take on all of this is as follows: - CSA are only recognising PPA as 1 out of X (10?) affiliates. - PPA's voting right at CSA is the same (1 out of 10?) - PPA represent more than 50% of the registered cyclists (be they fun or otherwise) on CSA's database - PPA would contribute that same >50% of licence fees to CSA. In my opinion, PPA are quite correct in telling CSA to shove it. On what basis do you contribute the largest stream of revenue but have the same say as some who contributes sweet fa?
  19. Yes, 29er rims/wheels can be used. I used 29" WTB i19's as the rims for my CX bike. Hub sizes were 100mm front and 135mm rear
  20. Will you people laugh at me if I put 26" or 650b wheels on my CX and SS road bike's?
  21. Very nice. What made you choose the TRP's as opposed to the Hope V-twin's?
  22. CX team organised. Just to enter.
  23. TSA need to understand that they are here to serve the sport and not for their own self-interest.
  24. You'll now see that one part of the Alberts bridge was destroyed on Saturday Afternoon by some ***** who thought they could burn the reeds that had been pushed up against the bridge from the recent flooding/rains. We met there yesterday afternoon and will be modifying both the run up to the bridge which is extremely muddy and then the actual bridge itself. Work will probably happen over the next couple of weekends.
