  1. Where can you get them? and which ones for alli rims?
  2. I have been riding Dura Ace 7900 for the last 18 months and have never found the brake pads to be that great. They squeel alot (on a few different wheels) they shudder too?? My previous groupset was Dura Ace 7800 and that braking was alway smooth as butter and never squeeled!!! Anybody else found this? i'm tempted to find some 7800 pads if i can? or swiss stop?
  3. Never done comrades but for certain its much harder..... done a few hill2hill's, around 5 hours, and never lost any toe nails and can get up and go to work the next day!!! Cycling vs. running is a strange thing... you can ride hard for 5 hours and then do it again the next day, even the finest athletes cant do that too often running??!! Cycling just taxes your muscles, running taxes your ligaments, joints, tendons and muscles??
  4. Thanks Johan.... i'll check it out tonight.... i'll bet my bottom dollar you are right!!!!
  5. THere is ample room between the derailler and spokes when chain is on biggest cog, but when climbing steep hills out the saddle the wheel is obviously flexing and the derailler is touching the spokes right where they cross.
  6. Come on JB.... i need you!!!! this threads gone pear shaped!!!!
  7. This problem is a sure way to bait "The stig".... i mean "The JB" into the fold..... Eagerly awaiting his arrival!!!!!
  8. I'm in KZN
  9. Done that..... also, the cassette spacing is correct.
  10. Over time i gathered some dura ace hubs, a pair of open pro rims (32 hole back, 28 front) and had the LBS build them with DT competition spokes. I had my concerns about the LBS wheels building expertise, but wasnt too worried as i would do some learning and true and tension myself. The problem i have run into:- We seem to have the dishing right, wheels true, tension etc. BUT i just cant stop the rear derailler just catching the spokes on steep climbs (obviously on the biggest cog at back). THe derailler hanger is alligned. I have pulled the tention up some more, but the nipples are going to get rounded if i try anymore. Wheels flex too much. I put my Eastons back in and they are fine..... What do i do with this rear hand built wheel??? Surely i'm not the first to experience this???
  11. 771 High clamp
  12. 21st May i hit a tree at speed... broken ribs, stitches in my face, but more concerning, my head hit the tree above my ear. Helmet crushed as designed to do (a Rudy project) and i was still knocked unconcious.. I know here in SA pretty much everyone wears helmets, but i was in Europe in 2010 and couldnt believe how few guys wear helmets..... its a no brainer!!
  13. 100% thats a giant....
  14. There is..... but dont ask!!!!!
  15. Sorry.... Teeth... not teath!!!!
  16. Its for smooth shifting. THe short teath allow the chain to move across onto the chainring once the pins and long teath have picked it up!!!! if that makes any sense???
  17. Your answer lies with Shimano..... 10 speed dynasys!!! 24 36 42 up front... klaar!!!
  18. Black Label is a great beer, its won many international lager awards, in fact it has just recently won another international award in Belgium!
  19. Yebo yes.... i mix milk stout with Hansa, its a brewers favourite amonst SAB brewers!!
  20. Yip.. i feel your pain. MY 350 rear hub felt rough after about 400 to 500 km's. I just kept riding and at about 1000+ km's they feel better then at 400km. But they need a service.
  21. Agreed.. there is something about that pic.
  22. The ecoli will take weeks to kill you, Hypathermia... 15 minutes!!! surely its too cold??
  23. Agreed... Either Berto is in a class of his own, or the other contenders at the Giro are useless!!!?? Hoping Berto doesnt overdo it and has something left in the tank for July, if he gets an invite?? I dont know how long it takes for these guys to find there legs, but Andy needs to start looking. I'm not a big Schleck fan. i find him a bit bland, and lacking character, but i guess he might be suffering a bit of emotional stress with the death of his team mate?
  24. Glad you enjoyed it... you get my drift though..
