Whats the best way to strip the paint off an alli frame? Sand blast, bead blast, or sandpaper and elbow grease?? Also, whats the best way to re-coat it? Powder coat or re-spray? Any pro's on this down here in Durbs?

I used to ride my tyres as hard as i could, but now run them between 7 and 8 bar... more comfortable, you get more life out of them, if it happens to rain while you out there you have better grip....and apparently they have disproved the theory that harder is faster???

Superb frame.... in any colour... Not hard to get the bike under 11kg. just take the existing wheels (hubs) and have a set of ZTR crests built onto them with Double butted spokes.

2 guys that ride with us on Anthem 29ers, both had the exact same crack, both replaced under warranty. on bike was XL and one med.

IT is the fork... I havent put it in a vice, but i'v taken it off the bike, put the steerer on a cloth on the floor and flexed it... The "creak" is either coming from the steerer/crown juction or stanction/crown or down inside?? its one year old, came on new Giant XTC 29er last year...

My Fox 29er fork has a creek in it thats driving me made. ITs not the crank or pedals or headset or scewers.... Its the fork. It doesnt creek when moving in its "up down" suspension motion... its when it flexes under braking and out the saddle efforts... I have taken it off and flexed it on the ground just to confirm where the creek was coming from.. The creek sounds like a creeking crank sort of noise???!!! HELP

What pads come standard in Avid Elixir CR brakes? Sintered or organic? Why i ask is.... The pads that came with the brakes never ever squeeled once. I replaced the rear pads about 6 weeks ago with Genuine Avid pads (not sure but i think Sintered metal) and the brake sqeels like hell now. The front with original pads still, have never squeeled.

To say you not going to do it again "because of the heat" is a bit unfair on the race.... look at the weather today?? very cool,,,, and saturday wether would have been perfect racing weather.. mid 20's and no wind... Anyway.... that race is one of those physical and mental challenges you need to do every year to keep you honost!!!

Apparently there was that 60 mile qualifier race for leadville 100 that he won earlier this year. And wait for it....... "He launched his attack in the singletrack, broke away and won"..... i'd imagine he's pretty handy in the tight stuff!!!

The trick with H2H is to start as fast as you can.... and gain as much time on your mates as you can.... cause when you blow (not IF you blow), you have to be so far ahead of them that you can walk the last 20km and beat them... Make sense??
