  1. If its that tall blonde chick we are talking about,,,, she's hot?? i wouldnt give a damn if she cant walk, ..................... (Your post has been edited)
  2. Interesting this SRAM red stuff..... some pro's opted for shimano cassettes and chains as well???? Shimano Dura ace is a few grams heavier for good reason.... but dont feel alone cause if you look at the Campi bikes at Roubaix... they also throw in some chorus bits and pieces!!!
  3. It freaks me out when i see these morons.... THe problem for me is, if another one of these owes gets killed in my area, my family will seriously want me to stop riding ont the roads. The problems is also with the poor person that hits them,,, their lives are then emotionally in the toilet...
  4. Bat-ass

    seat angle

    as drongo said..... level
  5. i'v bought 3 times and goods arived 3-4 weeks no problem... but i' got some mates wko ordered beginnning of jan and have heard nothing?
  6. Seems CWC is like a rockstar... Any publicity is good publicity!!!
  7. I dont think Nox111 is out of line.... i'v had some LBS experiences that drove me up the wall. I know CWC are a cut above, but Criss snr. needs to hear this so he knows what is happening in his shop. He cant personally be everywhere all the time. I have a business and i would rather know about things like this, rather then the custmer phone the shop and the guy who did the wrongs sorts it out quietly.. the owners need to know.
  8. white bar tape will look good, but get tape that is shinny / plasticy that wipes clean and not spongey that sucks in dirt. You dont need bottle cages on that bike, its got a camel hump!!!!!!
  9. Kristian House just won tour of SA on Shimano Dura ace C24, start to finish!!!
  10. Knobbymech, watch out for those Elite bottle cages, you are going to loose bottles on rough decents. When bottles and cages are new they grip quite well, but as soon as they get a bit dirty they gone..... Go "Specialized rib cages" BTW... nice bike, mines almost same, i just got full XT.
  11. I always pop my head up late on these 29er threads, but i was a serious roadie who mtb'ed for change in training and to be social with a few of the guys i race with. Then i bought a 29er..... now i consider myself a mountain biker who users the road for training!!! it just bought me more enjoyment....!! Admitidly, my legs were stronger then my mtb skills, but my 29er has helped close that gap.
  12. Never had assos, but i'm guessing i will have the same problem i have with most european makes.... i'm 5'9" and weight 76kg, so usually a medium or even large bibs should be right for me, but im too big in the thighs for even large in most bibs are too tight. Who knows of a make that caters for this???? generally, if bibs fit my legs, they are too big everywhere else?
  13. NO matter how you look at it, stage 2 was not properly policed / marshaled, and the comunities were not correctly notified. Lets look ahead to hopefully some awesome safe racing for the rest of the week in a sepectacular part of the country and let phil and gerald wax lerical about the garden route and winelands!!!! Stages get neutralized in the TDF, rider protested last year about safety of the route..... The only different is, the TDF can aford a few hickups as its 100 odd years old and aint going away... Tour of SA cannot aford these hickup in its first year as it might end up going away!!!
  14. i like ivan, but i like his sister even more!!!! http://www.google.co.za/imgres?imgurl=http://www.pezcyclingnews.com/photos/babes/babes05/tdf05-basso.jpg&imgrefurl=http://createtwodestroy.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html&h=605&w=450&sz=59&tbnid=FteD0U7Gv0JlgM:&tbnh=135&tbnw=100&prev=/images%3Fq%3Divan%2Bbasso%2527s%2Bsister&zoom=1&q=ivan+basso%27s+sister&hl=en&usg=__W3wMLkqEXlyqosGVd7DziZbRLgE=&sa=X&ei=dTJeTb-DJYOmvQOR0J3mDQ&ved=0CDMQ9QEwBA
  15. I never know how tight to go... i try watch the mechanics do a wheel change on TV to get an idea of how much force they use..... you know, body language/ face expression!!!!??? they dont seem to tighten very tight? Put it this way, a chick cant undo mine when i'v tightened them! is that too tight?
  16. This is a bike race on public roads, organisation has to be perfect, peoples lives depend on it.... No excuses..
  17. I also saw that artical on "Bikeradar" and noticed this. But even worse, have a look at the paint job in the other pics of the frame, its not good?? THat is a R35K - R40k frame??? Evens cycles website(UK) have themm advertised at R35k.
  18. Another thing? those ali end crimps dont hole very tight anyway? as soon as you put any mechanical force, they will pull off? there must be something we are not seeing here??!!
  19. it looks like the red part at the one cable end acts like a spoke nipple and you screw it out. i think i can see hex flats on it?
  20. I'v bought 3 times and have been expecting the customs/duties bill, but i have not been charged yet? they dont put any invoice or purchase details on the package and there is chineese writting all over it, so i dont think customs know what to do with it?? When you buy from CRC they put purchase info on the package, which is the legal way, but the chineese dont give a sh$%t, they want you to buy again and import duties would scare you off!!! thats just my take on it!!!??
  21. I'v also bought a few times. Use the size chart on the website, its prtty acurate. A shirt @ $27 and postage $6 lands here at about R230 on your credir card and take 3 or so weeks!! worth it. IT is chineese knock-off's, but good quality!!
  22. I got the Rudy sterling last week and its the most comfortable helmet i have had. my previous was a Giro Atmos and i struggled with it for 3 years, was never comfortable!! I just feel like my head is being looked after it the Rudy!!!
  23. This is sad... i was just saying on another thread how i have just spent the weekend in Cape town (im from KZN) and am in awe of the riding you guys have. i came home very envious, but this sounds bad.
  24. The solution lies in the sands of TIME (RXS or Iclic)..
  25. Maximim respect if he was on a race track, but zero respect for that..... i actually feel sick in my stomach!!!
