  1. Save yourself a lot of headache and look for something secondhand in the mainstream brand as mentioned above. Bikemarket.co.za has some secondhand bikes in the same price range Also look at Signal bikes, they local and solid.
  2. And that’s why I ride a Pyga....
  3. I knew I should have just stayed away from this thread, I was quite happy locked in my house with my road and Mtb...now that’s not the story. How many of you guys ride in or around Pretoria area? Are there many events in Gauteng that cater for Gravel bikes? I know race to the sun and one of the 100 miler events
  4. I love my Core, only thing I hate is moving that b@stard around. There is no handle and it’s awkward to carry. During lockdown I have had a few sessions on the porch and moving that thing from the pain cave to the porch was a workout on its own!
  5. Got to wonder if Ironman as a company are going to be able to pull through all of this lost income from all the cancelled events this year. 200 million dollars debt in 2019 and 2020 not going to help them lessen that
  6. As a kid I used to spend hours in CNA lusting over Bianchi bikes in the cycle mags. Yesterday I got to bring one home....and lust over it in the lounge
  7. Hey guys, need some advice on treadmills. The Nordic brand that sporsmanswarehouse sells, are they any good? Any other recommendations around the 20-25K price point? Thanks
  8. There is an interview on pink bike (I think) where a Santa Cruz designer said that in 5 years time he expects up to 50% of their new bikes will be e-bikes...it will be a sad day if that is genuinely the way the industry is going
  9. I was actually listening to a trainerroad podcast about it last night. Definitely on the list...when I'm 20kgs lighter and much much fitter
  10. Just to get a patent on a frame is over USD300k I believe. That's before moulds and materials etc. The last conversation I had with Pyga staff was that the frame will only be available end of year anyway, lots can change in that time. The first 50 guys who go in the first batch are smiling right now I'm sure Pat doesn't build rubbish so we know it's going to be something special. R75K special we don't know yet. I'm happy on my Stage...going to have to be:) I have started a project to build a Epic Evo, and the s-works frame cost me 60K
  11. Unless you were lucky enough to get the first batch you need to have very deep pockets to buy the Mobu when it's fully released. Numbers I got told after the initial batch are in the R70K region for a frame....
  12. Cois you been on my mind this week. Prayers and good vibes going you way. Not sure if you on Facebook but thought of you when the below popped up on my feed https://www.facebook.com/100002858081307/posts/2338926506212596/
  13. Some more sneak peaks of the Mobu
  14. I'm assuming they will be riding these at Attakwas?
  15. No idea what it is but it makes me warm inside
  16. I saw some guys posting Groenkloof pics to the "mountain bike trails south Africa" Facebook group yesterday and asked the same question. They advised security issues have been resolved.
  17. it like it's meant to be Now I got to get all the funds together.
  18. Yeah BST doing the frames.
  19. I'm in the same boat...but my bank account is convincing me I don't!
  20. I have a pic Pat released on his Instagram account though? Or was that not meant to happen? Edit: nevermind, it's the same pic you posted on the 25th Oct of the frame
  21. WhatsApp sent.
  22. Lol...I'm just jealous. I was sleeping and missed the first batch. I seen some pics which now has me kicking myself. If anybody is looking for a medium Stage frame I am looking to sell mine.
