  1. Still enjoy this song. Alien Sex Fiend https://youtu.be/_nA7KZF94wk

    Who remembers?

I know Facebook is not everyone's favourite but I have enjoyed a group on there about Joburg clubs of the eighties and nineties. Thought I was the only one who remembers getting teargassed by the police at The Doors Have other memories from The Doors too that were a bit more fun.
  3. And life got really really busy again and I am still catching up Peaky Blinders so probably will only get to watch the shows you are all talking about sometime in the far future
  4. @Buff. Sorry just realised I forgot to put Nyati on my payment reference. I just put Red Robin. I have emailed POP to you. Apologies.
  5. Donation just done, should clear tomorrow in your bank account.
  6. I remember watching it with my Dad with a big mix of Utd and Liverpool fans. Very special memories. Ooh Aah Cantona!

    Stand-up

Yes, always enjoy him and yes I can understand every word Love his facial expression in one show where he first talks about Scottish football but doesn't mention Celtic or Rangers.
  8. Tis a sad sad day indeed. My youngest has deflected and is no longer a MU fan and worst of all, he will now not be walking alone...... Luckily my oldest still is very very much MU and thus he is continuing as the 4th generation in the family to wear red, well the only red that matters anyway
  9. I use the Marvel brand for headlight (1600 lumens), on my helmet for trails and on my handlebars for road. I got that brand as I needed lights for the children as well so I wanted them all to be interchangeable and didn't want expensive ones as well you know children... It's a cheap brand but it's lasted pretty well.
  10. Only saw your post now. Constructive dismissal is not as easy to prove as people believe and case law is relatively thin on the ground compared to retrenchment/misconduct etc. Do not resign at all. Hang in however hard it is and I do understand that is easier said than done. Retrenchment and dismissal due to ill health are also legally two very different scenarios and the company should not be offering one as an alternative to another. Each has its own requirements for it to be done legally and correctly. One cannot ever offer retrenchment as a 'threat' as that invalidates that it is being done for a fair reason that is unrelated to performance.
  11. I use Scott mtb shoes, they are about R2500 and with the children I am off and on the bike alot, (well that is my story and I am sticking to it ) They don't slip on gravel and stones. I use with flats. They are the men's ones btw as the choice was better than the ladies so I got the men's.
  12. I have never really gone to the cinema much as I have the attention span of a squirrel on acid but for the children they really enjoy it but like you say it's not a cheap option.
  13. Kind of like this one too. Wouldn't say it's better than Nick Cave. https://youtu.be/7psIbGeoij0
  14. Yep. A couple of City fans I know are happy tonight.
  15. 6th February 1958 was a day my Dad always remembered. The Busby babes and the plane crash. So when I saw the date today it reminded me. My Dad was a proud Man Utd fan all his life.
  16. Maybe 9 of them...... edit, sorry just saw Andrew got in first
  17. Sorry to hear, must have given you a bit of a fright when you saw the blood.
  18. Ha ha I initially read that as Suede and was quite confused as to who had done any cover on them.
  19. I am quite enjoying the rabbit hole of algorithms.......... https://youtu.be/wB0hg4_JH0I
  20. I watch PB intermittently I enjoy it but time is again very limited but it has sparked a desire to visit the Black Country Living Museum next year Covid notwithstanding.
  21. I don't blame you The ramblings of my tired brain being over aware of the long tentacles of my childhood indoctrination. Note to self: don't go on BH and post as a 'break' when working hard at night
  22. Politics aside which I realise is an irony but I like the song per se and I enjoy this version. I deliberately chose a video with 'nothing' on it. https://youtu.be/Irrop2qzGLg
  23. Saw PJ Harvey at Reading many years ago, was pretty ok.
  24. Somehow ended up watching one episode of Bridgerton, definitely won't be watching any more. It seems pretty popular but it's just not my kind of show.
