  1. So doing a bit of binge watching Peaky Blinders to catch up again. Rediscovered Arctic Monkeys again, really enjoying them. Can hear the Sheffield accent pretty clearly in the odd word pronunciation in some songs.
  2. I am not on any other forums and found bikehub when I first started riding as a total beginner and then started reading other topics. I personally will miss reading the NCR and whilst I was never a big poster, I really enjoyed some of the comments/discussions. There are some with a dry sense of humour that I really appreciated. I have never reported anyone or a post and never would, not my style, something I didn't like I'd move on, if I felt like it I would reply.
  3. Also Victoria Rose does ladies clinics. Ride like a girl is the brand name.
  4. Here is my two cent's worth Do not try to teach her any skills yourself if you have been riding a bike for years and she is a total beginner and you thought she 'knew some stuff' and 'the trail is really easy' and look confused when she wipes out #justsaying......... A lady specific bike I have personally never found to make much difference but I have quite long legs so a men's bike was perfect for me. A lady specific saddle most definitely does make a difference so I would really suggest that as a minimum. See what size bike she feels comfortable with and not just what is theoretically correct, i.e. her height may indicate one size frame but maybe her torso vs leg length would be more comfortable with a different size. I would really recommend a skills clinic session Did I mention the bit about not trying to teach her any skills yourself? ????
  5. So nicely put in their message..... I doubt I will even be looking at the views as I curse to myself. The latter half of the route is quite hilly, but the views of Joburg’s leafy tree-lined streets are well worth the effort.
  6. Hope it is soon for you. Good luck.
  7. From what I understand the continuation of benefits is a form that is signed/submitted monthly to still say that you are unemployed and therefore eligible to receive the benefits so not sure why that would be required before you have even received one benefit. I am sure you know this but also bear in mind that it is not 45% of your previous salary but 45% of the capped figure which is R14 872 so you will receive a max of R6638 per month.
  8. As much as it is a PIA probably the fastest resolution is to register a new claim in person as online is notorious for non delivery.
  9. I thought they were a pretty cheap price tbh.
  10. Yep, best place. They have childrens' ones too, I got for mine.
  11. You get an ICE insert that you can put in your Garmin watch strap if you don't want an additional bracelet. I personally prefer the bracelet as I have small wrists so it's comfy once adjusted.
  12. Bit of history from way back.
  13. Hope she is ok.
  14. Thank you for the update, I like it. Took me a few false starts to navigate but I can be a bit thick sometimes so all good. ????
  15. Yep, the unhappiness has been going on a while. Not the first time the green and gold scarves etc. have been on display either.
  16. Sorry a bit off topic but I was a bit sad on the weekend when my son came off the pitch and told me that me that their opposing team kept calling them mother f**kers to 'get to' them. I know its going to happen and part of club football but I naively hoped not whilst they were still 9 and 10 years old. Anyway his team won by a nice margin so it was a good way of explaining that the other team were using other tactics as their football play was not as good.
  17. Use one of these and it is great. Just use those padded bike straps or pool noodles in between the bikes. The fastener straps wore out on the same spot as I tended to always load the same place but easy to get replacements from Thule.
  18. I remember my Dad's good friend was a lifelong MU supporter and also genuinely loved the game of football. Had season tickets most of his life but stopped going to the matches due to the violence and went to watch Bolton Wanderers instead.
  19. Read that a police officer's face was slashed in the MU protests yesterday. Not good.
  20. Why? What has it got to do with you?
  21. Rode right over a brownish coloured snake a little while back, I didn't even have time to scream as it all happened so quick. I really really really really really really really don't like snakes and don't even like looking at them as they creep me out so yeah it was quite memorable for me
  22. Love this!
  23. For today.
